The picture quality is much nicer than I had anticipated, and is almost an equivalent to my GoPro. It's extra small but it's meant to be worn so that's a plus. The size also makes this camera perfect for travel. I do like how easy the setup was... The instructions were clear and straightforward, and my camera was fully functional in less than 15 minutes and that's including reading the instructions. I plan to use this when I go on my next vacation instead of taking my GoPro for two reasons: 1.) the picture quality is almost as good, and 2.) it's less noticeable which makes me less of a tourist target. ... show more

Style: with 128GB Card
I am using this as a quasi security cam at my apartment...(in dealing with a family members poor behavioe) as my current sec. cam is no longer recording properly. So this one is great...as I can carry it or place it almost anywhere, the video quality is good, sound quality is good enough if fairly close, it has excellent night vision...overall its great. The only downside I can say is there was some kindof problem with the 128gb card that it comes with...as I had wanted to turn it on and record as I had it laying out and said family member came over unnannounced...so I wanted to record in that moment, as my cell phone was full. So unfortunately it kept saying something along the lines of "sd card formating error/SD card needs formatting" And it wouldnt' let me record. I could see the screen, everything seemed fine. But when I Tried to take a photo or record...it would give me this error. and google search said that could be the result of like 6 different things, from a benign set-up quirk with a new card...to a totally ruined card. So I have no idea what the issue was but I had to swap in a current 128gb card I had...and it worked perfectly. I then put the card it came with in my sec. cam it was able to show me the camera feed so it appeared to be working, at least to some degree in that camera. (but I can't get any data recorded onto a card with that camera...seperate issue and same with this card when trying that...so it worked as well as the other card I had in that camera, but appeared to be working.) I also tried formatting the card like it said (and did NTFS as I use windows) as opposed to Fat32, and it still kept saying the same error. So I have no idea if the card works fine and just had a "new card quirk", but the unit works perfectly fine with my own card. and the other card does appear to work in other another device. But i missed recording at that moment and that was dissapointing, and the battery was 4 stars so that was no issue..very glad it was on and ready otherwise. So...now I am super glad that I have a camera ready to go, almost anytime I need to use it. Invaluable. I cannot speak to battery life though as I haven't used it very long yet, but I have it for like 5 -6 days, and the battery is still fine, as I leave it turned off. Perhaps if you one leaves it turned on, in idle mode, that may drain the battery. So you can prolong battery life by keeping it off when not in use...still haven't had to charge it yet, and it worked right out of the box, battery wise. I just haven't recording very many minutes yet either but...so far so good on the battery front. Overall...if not for the SD card quirk, this would be 5 stars. I was hopeful that this bodycam would work well enough for me to use at work, but I couldn't read the files from the card or from the bodycam on my mac computer, so I am going to have to look for a different camera. When I first turned the camera on, I received an error that the memory card needed to be formatted. I figured out how to do that in the menu, formatted the card, and did some test recordings. I could play them back on the camera itself, but wanted to see what they really looked like on my computer. When I plugged the camera in and but it into mass storage mode, I received a message that the card could not be read and my computer wanted to format it. I then took the card out of the camera and into a card reader for my computer, and received the same message. So if I cannot see the video files on my computer, and only on the bodycam, this is completely pointless and a waste of time and money. I'm going to have to look for a different bodycam and I do not suggest this one, however, perhaps the files will open on your computer, even though they did not on mine. ... show more

    • Incredibly short battery life
Style: with 128GB Card
Just sitting on my desk for a couple days, completely powered off, the battery died. The video quality seems really good, even in low light. One thing that is confusing/annoying is that pressing the camera button doesn't take a picture initially, it just switches to camera mode. A second press will then take a picture. Similarly, going back to video and recording is a two-step process. In the heat of the moment this could be an issue if you wanted to capture an image and switch back to video. You'll have to remember or just not use the camera functionality during an encounter. Although you can manually switch between night and day modes, it seems that the automatic switching the device does will override your setting. At first I thought the function for day mode was broken because I would switch to it and the device would almost immediately switch back to night mode. I finally figured out it's because the room I was in was not lit brightly enough. The 3-stars are for the battery life. I have no confidence that this will remain running for as long as I would need it to. There's no reason a completely powered off unit should drain the battery completely. I guess the lesson is to always plug it in when it's not in use. ... show more

So I'll have to admit, my attraction to this device is due to its similarity of those issued to law enforcement. The camera is rather easy to use and picture quality is great. Camera is very responsive and turns on and off rather quickly as well. I purchased mine with 128GB micro SD card, though it will take you a while to fill it, that is unless you are recording in 4k. At 4k, you will have approximately 10hrs of recording time. The device does have a color lcd screen, but here's the catch, it only records in black and white and displays the video in black and white as well. It will be defaulted to 1080p, I recommend you leave it there. I changed mine to 2k and 4k, then back to 1080p and all three recordings were very grainy compared to my first in1080p which was crystal clear. Over all the product has a good exterior design, but there were features left out such as the ability to turn off the button menu beeps and changing the recording format to color or sepia. ... show more
