    • Have to have a Weber Grill!
The grill was priced more then I intended to spend. But, after 4 hours of assembly and initial burn off, we cooked all weekend on it enjoying its builtin tempterture digital gage, lited knobs, hood lamp and especiall the Sear feature for the steaks. It also came with one meat probe that you can set up your cell phone to notify when the meat is ready. I would recommend this grill to anyone. ... show more

    • Forces firmware updates while in use
So I would have given this grill a 4 until a couple nights ago. I turned on the grill and opened the app to monitor the heating, after about 10 minutes the grill was good and hot so I put my steaks on with the temperature probes in 2 of them, and all of them were reporting to the app just fine. About 3 minutes later the app opened a firmware update screen that has no cancel option and said that I had to leave my phone near the grill and remove the temperature probes. With food on the grill the grill disabled the features needed. Had there been a "remind me in 30 minutes" option, "later", or "cancel" then I would be fine with it. Had I gotten an email, text, or push notification that there was a new firmware update ready and I ignored it fine, but the first notice I had was with food actively cooking on the grill. I'm a career software engineer and I know there are better ways than what Weber is using, and ways that do not risk food that is on the grill. ... show more

    • Good luck with assembly.
Grill is good, but they should sell this as a grill kit. Assembly was an all-day affair. Even with the assembly app it was hard to follow directions because there was no clear description of the parts by name or part number. For example the video would say “part needed”, but left it to you to figure out what part. I would never buy this again unless it was delivered assembled. ... show more
