  • They're best for casual to moderate use where comfort meets durability. They're best for casual to moderate use where comfort meets durability.
Color: Midnight Flare
The H2OAthletics WaveRider Lightweight Floating Polarized Sports Sunglasses are designed for watersports enthusiasts, featuring a wraparound TPX frame that's buoyant and lightweight (under 1 ounce) to stay afloat if dropped in water. The polarized TAC lenses reduce glare for clear vision on the water, with UV400 protection against harmful rays, and a rectangular shape (59mm lens width, 18mm bridge, 145mm arms) that fits most faces comfortably. Available in colors like ocean breeze or blue horizon, they're saltwater and scratch-resistant, making them suitable for paddling, sailing, kayaking, or fishing, with no-slip grips and all-day wear in mind. Pros Reliable Floating Design: The integrated foam core keeps the glasses buoyant, popping to the surface quickly even in choppy waves, providing peace of mind during active watersports like sailing or paddling. Effective Polarized Glare Reduction: The lenses cut reflections off water exceptionally well, enhancing contrast for spotting fish or hazards, with a natural field of view that feels unobtrusive for extended use. Ultra-Lightweight Comfort: At just 0.9 ounces, the TPX frame hugs the face without pressure, with adjustable nose pads that prevent slipping during sweat or spray, ideal for all-day kayaking or SUP sessions. Scratch and Saltwater Resistance: The TAC lenses hold up to sand, salt, and minor impacts without clouding, maintaining clarity after rinses, perfect for ocean environments. Flattering Wraparound Fit: The angular shape suits most faces, offering peripheral coverage without feeling bulky, with rubber temple tips for secure, bounce-free hold during motion. Cons Lens Tint in Low Light: The polarized coating excels in bright sun but can dim vision slightly during overcast or dawn paddles, potentially needing removal for full clarity. Nose Pad Adjustment Limits: The pads conform well but lack fine-tuning, occasionally slipping on oily skin during sweaty sessions without repositioning. Frame Flex on Impacts: The lightweight TPX is comfortable but may bend subtly from strong waves or falls, though it rebounds without cracking. Limited Color Options: The available tints (e.g., grey or amber) work for general watersports but may not suit specific fishing needs like green for underwater visibility. No Prescription Compatibility: The fixed frame doesn't accommodate inserts easily, limiting use for those needing vision correction. Overall Experience These WaveRider sunglasses are a buoyant, glare-fighting essential for watersports lovers, with their lightweight frame and polarized lenses delivering clear, secure vision that enhances safety and enjoyment on the water without fatigue. The floating design and scratch resistance make them a thoughtful pick for paddlers or sailors who value reliability over flash, providing consistent performance that holds up to salt and sun. They're best for casual to moderate use where comfort meets durability, offering value in a pair that feels tailored for the waves. ... show more

  • Lighter Shading Easier Wearing Lighter Shading Easier Wearing
Color: Blue Horizon
Finding the perfect pair of sunglasses is often a journey of trial and error, especially when you’re transitioning from a well-loved pair of metal frames to something new. After my previous lenses became a mosaic of scratches after just a year, I initially tried the DIY route by ordering replacements on Amazon. While they fit the frames, the noticeable distortion made them uncomfortable for daily use. This led me to try a new pair through the Vine program, and the experience has been a mix of technical relief and physical adjustment. The most immediate improvement was the visual clarity. As soon as I put these on, the distortion I had struggled with in my previous lenses vanished. Interestingly, these lenses feature a slightly lighter tint than my old pair. While some might prefer a darker "blackout" look, I’ve found that a lighter tint is actually a benefit as I get older; it provides enough protection without making the world feel overly dim. However, the transition to these frames hasn't been entirely seamless. Coming from slim metal frames, these feel much more substantial—and not always in a good way. The Feel: One of the arms has a tendency to irritate the skin above my ear, which can be distracting during long periods of wear. The Profile: The frames are quite thick. Unlike my old metal pair that blended into the background, these are very "present" in my peripheral vision. Coverage: On the plus side, the coverage is excellent. They fill almost my entire field of vision, though I did notice a small amount of sunlight leaking in through the sides. In terms of build quality, they feel solid and well-made. Like any eyewear, their longevity will ultimately depend on how well I treat them, but I don’t anticipate any structural issues. From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I really love the look of them; they have a distinct style that stands out, even if the thickness of the frames takes some getting used to. If you value crisp, undistorted optics and a moderate tint that doesn't sacrifice visibility, these are a strong choice. Just be prepared for a "bulkier" feel if you are moving away from minimalist metal frames. ... show more

  • Promoted From "Backup" to Number One – Better than my expensive pairs! Promoted From "Backup" to Number One – Better than my expensive pairs!
Color: Amber Sky
I originally bought the Waverider Floating Sunglasses to keep in my glove box as a backup pair, but after forgetting my main set one day, I haven't looked back. These have officially been promoted to my primary sunglasses. The Standout Features: Superior Clarity: The polarized lenses provide excellent protection from harsh sun and glare. Whether I'm driving or outdoors, the vision is crisp and comfortable. The "Head Wear" Test: This is a game-changer—if you know, you know. When I move inside and pop these on top of my head, my hair doesn't get snagged in the nose pads! It's a small detail that makes a huge difference in daily wear. Build & Style: They look really sharp and feel much more high-end than the price point suggests. They feel sturdy yet are incredibly lightweight. Bonus Storage: I love that they come with a soft case. It gives me peace of mind throwing them into my backpack or back into the glove compartment knowing they won’t get scratched up by keys or gear. Versatility: While I'm currently using them for daily wear and hitting the slopes on sunny winter days, I’m most excited to get these out on the lake this summer. Since the frame is made of buoyant TPX material, I won't have to worry about them sinking to the bottom of the lake if they take a tumble during watersports. If you're looking for a reliable, stylish, and functional pair of glasses that won't break the bank (or pull your hair out), these are it! ... show more

  • Probably not unisex. Probably not unisex.
Color: Amber Sky
The style of these glasses are sporty and stylish. I got the translucent frame with the amber mirrored lenses. The lenses have pretty good clarity and cut down glare. The sunglasses are lightweight and flexible, yet sturdy. They have silicone overlays on the ear and nose piece meant for gripping but they slid down my nose more often than not, especially when I was sweating. They repeatedly fell off my nose when I bent over during most activities. Since I had those issues, I think there’s a likelihood of them falling off during land and water sport activities. I can’t say whether they float or not since I never put them in water. As a female, the situations I experienced could have been because I have a smaller face. The sizing is geared for people with larger faces, mostly men. Either way, I think the nose piece would slip for either sex. At $39.99 they are a bit higher in price compared to others on the market. I wouldn’t recommend them, especially for women. ... show more

  • Awesome Floating light weight sports glasses Awesome Floating light weight sports glasses
Color: Midnight Flare
As an active ocean surfski paddler I’ve tried many sports sun glasses over the years and have finally found a pair that work for me in racing conditions. The wrap around style provides substantial protection from spray and the salt water anti scratches polarized lenses provide clear views to spot the next wave to drop into. The rubber nose pads and arms means they don’t slip when moving around and the light weight frames means I forget that I’m wearing them. When wearing my hat the lenses don’t fog up which has been a major problem for other sunglasses I’ve worn in the past. In the rare occasions I’ve dropped them, they float so easy to retrieve rather than losing another pair of glasses to the depths of the ocean. Overall these are great value for money, light weight and comfortable fit with amazingly clear lenses that are perfect for ocean paddle sports. ... show more

  • Polarized Floating Sunglasses for Water Sports
Color: Blue Horizon
These Waverider sunglasses are built with water activities in mind, making them a great companion for boating, fishing, and other days on the water. The polarized lenses help reduce glare from the surface, making it easier to see clearly even in bright sunlight. The Blue Horizon color adds a fresh, sporty look that fits right in with outdoor adventures. One of the standout features is the floating frame design, which helps keep the sunglasses from disappearing if they end up in the water. The lightweight feel keeps them comfortable during long hours outdoors, while the UV400 protection helps shield eyes from strong sun exposure. Overall, they’re a practical and stylish choice for anyone spending time on lakes, boats, or coastal trips. ... show more

  • Good all-around sunglasses
Color: Blue Horizon
Needing new sunglasses, I ordered this pair of Waverider Floating Polarized Sunglasses in the horizon blue color with blue mirrored lenses. The listing states that it has "full UV 400 protection" and are "Built for medium to larger faces", so that must be me, since they fit perfectly and comfortably. When wearing, they stay put without slipping, no matter what angle my head is at. The lens is much clearer than my last pair of similarly priced sunglasses, which I noticed, only because I had cataract surgery and can now see sharper and clearer. The listing states that they float but I'm using them to drive with, and I am enjoying using them. They do what I want them to do without fuss, but they definitely won't be mistaken for an expensive pair of sunglasses They're very lightweight but appear to be holding up well after a month of heavy use and they come with a nice case. They are stylish and a good value. ... show more
