I think these boots are built very well and seem very comfortable. I ordered them and was instantly impressed, especially because the price is low. Also the customer service is outstanding. I had a sizing issue and it was cleared up quickly! I will say to order the boots in a larger size than you usually wear. Maybe like an inch bigger. For me it was about an inch and a half.

The boots themselves looked and fit great. They felt very comfortable right out of the box. They were pretty lightweight and I was planning on using them in the desert of Utah. I’m a field guide for a wilderness program and spend 8 days in the field at a time. Despite the fact that the boots looked and felt really nice I returned them because of the sole. I am a minimalist when it comes to boots and usually wear zero drop shoes with none to very little cushion. These shoes have tons of cushion and had a lot of lift to them. I felt like I was wearing moon boots or those goofy looking Hoka shoes. If that’s your style and you like the additional comfort or padding, then you’ll love these. I felt like my ankles would be compromised if I were to roll them, sort of like when you see a woman roll her ankles in high heels. That was my only complaint, but it was a deal breaker for me.

Just got these boots had been looking for coyote tac boots with a traction sole, out of the box went out and did 3 miles in the woods with a ruck and these worked perfectly, true to size , lightweight and Vibram soles. Well made and no break in required , going to buy an extra pair just to have.

These boots are attractive and appear to be well made. They are made of leather and have a great outer sole. They even have a fair amount of inner arch support, which is something that is of particular benefit to me. I typically wear a 10.5. There was no size chart offered with the product description, so I ordered a 10.5. I was really looking forward to receiving the boots after ordering, and was excited when they arrived. I was expecting the best outcome since the price point was quite a bit higher (about 130 bucks at the time of the review) than I typically would spend on a pair of boots like these. I gave them an inspection and liked what I saw. Then I tried them on. (With difficulty I might add.) Thankfully they feature a generously sized loop at the back of the boot that you can use to help slip the boots on. Sadly, as it turned out they were too small. There was no room between the tip of my toes and the inside toe of the shoe. To add insult to injury they were narrow and tight in that dimension too. (In days past I wore a D width. I’m not sure what they call it now.) However, I will say that their customer service was excellent and very responsive. They sent out a half size larger (size 11), which fit me much better but were still just a touch tight but still within my tolerance level. I can now say that these boots are very comfortable to wear and look great on. My experience has shown these to run a bit small so ordering a half size larger might be of benefit to you. Or maybe a full size larger if you plan on wearing thick socks. If you have a wide foot, you might find these to be tight in that respect. But sizing up for me seemed to help with that, too.

My son wears 11.5 to 12 and I ordered size 12 since a little extra room in hiking boots is never a bad thing. The fit is perfect, with about .5"-.75" past his toes and plenty of room for thick socks. The rounded toe box allows for full splay while still feeling secure on the feet. The low arch and cushion from the removable insole provides comfortable support underfoot, and the sole offers a great balance between rigidity to protect the feet and flexibility for ease of movement. The large virbram lugs offer superior traction and durability. One of the best features about these boots is how lightweight they are for having a partially leather (part waterproof mesh uppers) and rubber bottom. The foam midsole is to thank for this, while also adding to the softness of the ride. The plastic cap on the back of the midsole will prevent wear in this area. My son chose to take the laces out of the top most eyelets to give more range of motion and make the boots easier to get on and off. These look great, and I can find no flaws in the workmanship. The color hides dirt well, and they are also relatively easy to clean off. The excellent quality makes these a good value, even with the high price tag. We would definitely order from this brand again.

I have been intrigued by this style of boot for a while and finally decided to give it a try. Being used to the traditional leather 8" boot, I do like the feel and extra support and protection of the higher cuff. These boots are exponentially lighter than my leather boots and feel like a sneaker with boot support. They run true to size and the width I would consider a normal medium. The sole of the boots are a nice consistency of softness for great grip in all conditions and still firm enough to hopefully last quite a long time. They are Vibram soles which definitely increases my confidence on the longevity of this boot. Due to it's light nature and feel, I find the boots to be more agile than I ever really felt in my leather boots. I haven't really put the water proof claim to the test and breathability but my feet have stayed very comfortable in them so far. The only negative I would mention is the ease of putting them on and taking them off. The eyelets of the boots almost lock the strings in place which does increase performance but adds time to putting on or removing the boots. This is a small price to pay for the performance and comfort they provide. So far, these boots are great and if my opinion changes anytime in the next year I will update this review.
