the cover itself is just fine, but the little stick that goes in the middle is useless. There is no way to firmly afix it to the boat or the cover and it just slides on the surface of the boat and falls down with a little wind. My plan is to put PVC pipe with an elbow extension in the 4 cup holders of the pedal boat, instead of using the stick that is provided ... show more

1) it doesn’t have any cutouts in the corners for mourning ropes. So when you put the cover on, the ropes pull the cover up and over the edge of the boat. 2) the stand does not stay standing on the seat no matter what you do. 3) the water still pulls on the cover over the pedal wells eventually pulling the into them and collapsing the cover. This cover is useless. The prop to hold cover up fall over. May work if all u want to keep out are leaves but boat will still fill with water. Very cheap and overrated. Don’t waste your money like I did.

We have had a five person pelican paddle boat for about 30 years. We live in a place with a lot of rain, wind and snow. If you have a paddle boat, you know what an ongoing struggle it is to keep the thing clean, free of water and actually in a usable state when you finally have time to use it. Here are my thoughts on this cover, and it’s ability to keep my boat usable during the season. Pros: 1) It is a strong material and will last for many seasons. Worth the money. 2) It comes with elastic around the perimeter, but more importantly, straps. If we don’t tie the boat itself to the dock every time we leave, the wind WILL dump it in the lake. We get a lot of wind. The straps are essential for wind or the cover would leave and be 30’ down. 3) It has air holes on the end. This is a rare feature, but very helpful for wind. It reduces the pressure of the wind on the cover. My tarps get shredded on the side the wind hits if there is no venting. 4) It comes with a support pole. This is an advantage over most covers for sale. If you own a boat, any boat, and you have a cover, any cover, you already know that without a pole…you will be bailing. Cons: 1) The description states that it will protect your boat from snow. I am sure this is true…for a season or maybe two. I will not be using this for winter. It will get packed in the handy bag it comes with and the boat will be tarped for the winter. My tarps only last for a year in the extremes of our winter, and I love the summer function of this cover too much to sacrifice it to the winter. One last thing, be sure and measure your boat. There are many paddle boat sizes out there. All three person or five person are not the same size. You want to be sure you are getting one that fits. ... show more
