My use: swimming & snorkeling. I purchased this for my Samsung Galaxy 10+ with an Otterbox Defender AND a Pop Socket on the back. None of the other smaller pouches would fit this phone without requiring me to take off the Otterbox which is a ridiculous suggestion. I didn't want a huge pouch. The size of this pouch is 8.5"x6" when closed. (Some of the others on this sight are up to an inch larger on both sides.) My phone fits perfectly leaving some room for keys, money, etc.. First, I tested it with tissue and a post-it note pad for 1/2 hour underwater. Then I tested it with my phone. It will float so I had to hold the pouch underwater with a pot filled with water. Both times the items in the bag were dry. The 3-zip lock system worked well. I was able to use the applications on the phone in either pouch: quite easily in the clear black pouch but had difficulty reading an email through the opaque orange pouch. I wouldn't recommend the orange if you want to use the phone in the pouch. I was NOT able to use the camera in either pouch (I do have a glass screen protector but don't know if that was why). I didn't purchase it to use the camera, just to take my valuables with me in the ocean, and not worry about leaving them on the beach, so it serves my purpose. I bought this item keep my belongings dry during a tubing trip on the river. It was a lifesaver. Durable, and effective. The material isn’t cheap feeling, and pretty easy to get in and out of. Glad I bought it!

    • Great water proof pouch but maybe a bit too large

I got this one as I wanted something that could hold my phone, wallet, car keys, mask and small hand sanitizer bottle when I go kayaking. It all fits in there very nicely though it’s a bit hard to remove them without touching everything :) This said, it is really large and looks pretty weird on my waist LOL. I did get what I paid for so make sure you are ok with the lack of style here. Also the orange one is really flashy which is not appealing to me. ---- update ---- The bag is already non functional. The velcro doesnt hold well anymore and the 3 level retention mechanism doesnt really close. The side plastic that connects these parts torn causing them to fail when it most mattered. In the first time I actually flipped from my canoe I saw all my stuff floating inside like a little waist level fish tank :) luckily my FOB and phone could take the water well but the bag didnt hold any of the water out. Mind me this is a very typical issue to happen when doing water sports to take a quick dive. I was back on the canoe in less than 2 minutes. I have since retired the fanny pack. ... show more

I bought this before a last minute solo trip to the beach so I wouldn't kill this phone of mine. Despite my reservations, the triple zip and velcro did an AMAZING job of keeping water out. It was dry as a bone on the inside despite a few belly flops into oncoming waves. We used this when snorkeling. This is lightweight, easy to wear, and keeps everything dry. There are 3 closures plus the velcro to keep everything safe and secure. You can use your phone easily for everything except pictures because you won't get anything clear.

I'm sure they are great for skinny women and tiny men, but if you are on the bigger side at all- save your time and money.
