I'm just getting back into hand embroidery after many years away, and I'm enjoying finding new tools and aids like this stabilizer that makes transferring a design so easy. I remember the days of the old red ink iron ons and they just didn't work as well as this product, especially for finer lines and details. I love being able to create a design on my computer, print it on this stabilizer which makes for a better working surface, adhere the printed design to my fabric and embroider away. I ordered this water soluble stabilizer because I have been teaching myself how to do different embroidery stitches and wanted to try this out. I am really impressed with this item and super glad that I ended up ordering it, I really think it’s so cool. I have an Epson Ecotank printer. I was a little nervous that this wouldn’t print out well with these newer kinds of printers but I shouldn’t have worried. I uploaded pictures so you can see for yourself, but it printed out beautifully. The directions said to use the draft option in your print settings so I did that; however, it did not specify what paper to choose for your print settings. I decided to just go with the regular paper in my print settings and it worked great so I recommend not choosing special paper in your printer settings as it wasn’t necessary. I really wanted to review this item thoroughly so after I printed out the pattern on the water soluble paper, I also then took off the backing and placed the sticky side on some cotton fabric and started stitching. There is literally nothing negative I can write about this product, at every step of the process it performed perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone who does embroidery stitch, it is extremely useful.

I've tried my hand at embroidery before and freehanding definitely wasn't it. I tried to draw images with disappearing ink as well, but there's only so much detail you can add... these water soluble stabilizers really did the trick in helping me have a proper pattern set up. Easy to print on and use and a deal for the price. Works for big and small projects!

This works really well for those who want a custom pattern. I used an ink jet printer and was able to print my own custom design with no issues. Once finished I ran under winter and it dissolved with no issues. Its stiff enough to hold in place but gives where you need it to.

Images print out nicely . It dissolves with water very nicely and overall it worked but wasn’t super sticky could have been it was just the material I used it didn’t want to stick that well to.

Water soluble printer stabilizer is a must have for cross stitching and embroidery. 12 pieces for $8 is the current tending price for these and well worth what they accomplish. They could be a little bit stickier, but over all they are easy to use and work well.
