The shoes were received quickly (48-72 hours after placing the order). Initially I was not impressed as once they were removed from the plastic packing material there was a very strong and offensive petroleum odor. I placed them outside on the back deck and after 24 hours the smell was entirely gone. I was happy with the fit; I ordered 10.5 as my usual Skechers are size 10 and I generally don't trust sizing charts that are included with product descriptions (they are a rough guide at best). Despite the good fit, I was disappointed in the cushioning of the insole -- there didn't seem to be much. However, my wife recommended I wear them for a day to give them a proper test (as always, she was correct). I wore them for the better part of the day doing some yard work raking leaves leftover from the fall and applying weed & feed to the lawn. To my pleasant surprise, these were some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. What I really appreciated was after the yard work was done, the shoes were covered in dust from the weed & feed. I simply threw them in the shower with me and washed them out. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to how quickly they dried as I mistakenly left them in the shower after dressing. They were still quite damp when I found them in the shower the next morning but dried relatively quickly after leaving them in our utility room for a couple of hours. Beyond the partial day use test, the construction seems solid. I really like the metal screen material positioned between the outsole and the foundation layer that lies directly beneath the insole. They slip on easily and have a good trail/hiking/tennis shoe-look to them. The fabric upper keeps the feet cool and larger particulates out. The tread and wrap-around rubber toe and heel is solid and protects tender toes quite well. I have to admit, my initial impression was wrong. I really like these shoes and would wear them around the house or running errands without question. The true test will be how they last over time and as these are a new purchase I cannot comment on that just yet. However, with the knowledge I have now, I do recommend purchasing. ... show more

These feel like regular shoes, not like many water shoes that feel like slippers. The have good padding and support and drain nicely. We go onto a river that ahs a lot of sand and the sand stays out of the shoes. They dry quickly. I went up a half size from what i normally wear. They do lose traction a little on very slick surfaces, but any shoes will do that. I wear a 10.5 wide and went up to an 11.0 wide and they fit great. ... show more

The shoes are great and I really love them and this is my second time ordering them. The reason for just a 4 star rating is that the shoes were shipped wrapped together which resulted in the toe area being crushed. There was no padding in the toe area for shipping and this made the shoes almost unwearable until I packed the toe area with padding and let the shoes sit for several day. If they would ship the shoes with proper packing then I would rate them 5 stars. ... show more

There are ribs on the sole of the shoe that will tear your feet apart if you use them for a while. I don’t know who’s the smart person who designed this but there’s a special place in hell for him/her.
