This is another new 2K resolution model with the colored night mode. The 2K resolution is noticeably higher compared to the 1080p models. There are five lighting options: auto infrared, intelligent light, full color, light timing, and all modes off. The auto infrared mode will turn on the infrared light when the scenario is in low light setting, which will give you a black and white video when the motion is captured. The intelligent light mode will turn on the LED light when the scenario is in low light setting, which will give you a colored video when the motion is captured. But it'll keep the infrared light on to allow you to monitor in low light setting for the fun of it when nothing is triggering the motion-detecting capture feature. Full color night will turn on the LED light when the scenario is in low light setting to give you a colored video when a motion is detected, but this doesn't have the infrared light on in low light setting in contrast to the intelligent light mode. Light timing will turn on the LED light per schedule like a traditional bulb. So I'd imagine it'll be full colored video when a motion is detected. All off mode will give you what your naked eyes will capture at whatever scenario encounter. However, I’d advise not to install this camera behind a window monitoring the outside if you were to enable the colored night mode. You’ll only catch glares. But I'd assume no one would install this behind a window. I've attached three pictures: lighting from other sources, lighting from the bulb, and infrared lighting from bulb. The two colored pictures are very comparable, which I was trying to illustrate the LED feature is bright and does give decent color video/picture. Lastly, the infrared lighting is to show what your naked eyes would have seen but captured by this camera. The setup was as seamless as the other Wansview units. I’m going to paraphrase the manufacturing instructions. Download the app before doing anything with the camera. Supply power to the camera and wait a few seconds until the blue light blinks. Once the blue light blinks, reset the camera by holding the reset button to prepare it for pairing. You’ll hear a voice response when it's done successfully. Launch the app and navigate to the home screen on the top right corner. Tap "+" to add this specific camera to your monitoring list. You’ll see two tabs when you launch the "+" function; one tab is for Wansview, while the other is for Galayou (their sister company). It’s handy and easy to identify which camera you’re using with those pictures. Upon selecting your camera, it’ll ask about your WiFi network log-in credentials. Then you’ll be prompted to put your phone in front of the camera for it to read the QR code that your phone will display. Wait for it to do its thing after you hear the voice response when it has been done successfully for a minute or two. When it is finished establishing a network, you can customize your camera’s settings and its name.
