Recently downsized from a two bedroom apartment to literally one room (momentarily) and I bought these shelves to showcase some of my books (I have a lot and a buying addiction) and our more personal items we didn’t want to send to storage. These shelves really allowed us to make the space our own without sacrificing any of the floor or dresser space! So worth the buy and they are very visually nice to look at. LOVE the look of my shelves and the pricing! You have the option of putting the metal brackets below as well, instead of having the wood rest in/on them. After some debating I chose to have them rest. It was also the easier option and I was impatient and excited to get these up. These were perfect for my bathroom and would be perfect for any area really. I do not have a lot of counter space in my bathroom, so these were perfect for organizing and styling functionally. Put them up and everything is good so far. They came in looking fantastic, no damage. It was easy to screw into the wall, but you might want two people, although, I did manage it on my own. So far they are holding up lots of books and a small potted plant with no issues. I'll be buying some more soon!

So there's no getting around that these are cheap shelves, but they are perfectly adequate. I wouldnt put anything super heavy on them, but they are just fine for knick knacks and picture frames. I took a star away for installation ease, I mean it wouldn't have killed them to pre-drill the holes in the wood. As long as you pre-drill the holes and go easy on the screws you'll be good.

In short, these paired with proper wall mounting screws can hold excellent amount of heavy items. I have loaded it with heavy books and it is holding perfectly. Pro vs Con - Small units so don't expect to be able to load it up like a regular full rack shelf. - Made with REAL WOOD. Which makes the shelfs very light! Excellent texture finish too. - Not great for those deep wide books, but those books tend to be the exception. - Very easy to install, but using a drill helps speed things up and less work on your wrist I really like how it looks and will be ordering a 2nd and maybe even a 3rd set mix the white and black for contrasting.

These are so basic and so easy to install. Just put the metal brackets on by holding them in place and screwing the screws in using a lightweight screw gun/drill with phillips head. The wood is soft. Look over both sides and the edges so you can pick the most beautiful sides and top for presentation. To mount on the wall I simply: Find the location I want the shelf, screw in the top screw in one side, bring the other side to level and screw in that side. Then I mark the other 2 holes with a nail or screw. Then unscrew the 2 screws you put in. Get a 3/16" or 1/4: drill bit (check which is slightly smaller than your anchors). Drill back through all holes (if you hit wood then stop drilling and you will simply need to use a screw at these points). Insert the plastic anchors in holes where you didn't hit wood. Mount the shelf. These are simple and nice looking shelves for what they are. Cheap without looking cheap. Simple but they can go with a few different aesthetics.
