It was very easy to put together, however, some directions were incorrect. Pay attention to what screws go where, because they got the sets mixed up. Otherwise it’s a sturdy shelf and holds a good amount of weight

"Just because it says wine rack doesn't mean it won't hold other bottles too". That's how the Mrs. sold me on getting this wine rack off the Vine. We've never had a bar area in the house before, the kids have all moved out, so why not now. The wine rack will need to be assembled out of the box, it comes with all the hardware and tool required. You will need some good hand strength, the Mrs. put ours together, and she ended up using the hand drill to finish all of it. She said it was simple to do, just took too long to do by hand. Product description states this wine rack will hold up to 5 wine bottles and 5 wine glasses, we found that you can fit 4 to 5 liquor bottles with 4 tumblers and 4 goblets instead. Be sure to use the anchors when installing this wine rack to your wall, this will help it will not fall under the weight of your alcohol. Everything is made with sturdy materials; wood planks, iron frame and iron stemware rack. The picture shows this holding 8 bottles. It only holds 4. The picture shows a mixing glass and shorter liquor bottles on the bottom shelf. Turns out it's only 4 inches high. Straight false advertising do not buy.

    • Stylish and functional
I got this to replace my previous wine rack. It was similar, but this one had features I prefer. I like how the bottom rung has slide-in capability, so you can adjust the number of glasses you hang there according to size. My other rack only offered a set number of slots. Also, there is an additional rack between the glasses and the wine bottles for storing other implements, smaller glasses, smaller liquor bottles, etc. You could even use it for coffee mugs and store coffee syrups on the shelf above, just as an idea. My other rack did not have that extra shelf, and I found myself wanting a place to keep those things nearby. This rack will do that. The top bottle storage shelf is deep and wide enough for about five wine bottles, so disregard the picture in the ad which makes it look way larger in capacity for both wine bottles and glasses. The black mesh grate shelf front goes perfectly with my decor, and the wood is nearly identical to the cabinets in my home, so it looks like it was custom-made for me. It fits with my decor and keeps my wine area looking tidy. It even adds to the style here though I am working with limited space. It's definitely an upgrade for me. ... show more

This is a great add-in to a bar setup. Being able to store wine or liquor on the wall looks great. This was easy to put together and install on the wall. It does need to be a wall install of course for this work since you're hanging glasses from the bottom.

Well, the downside. I opened the box and stared at all the parts and though, this is exactly what a disgruntled Ikea designer would create to exact revenge on customers. All the pieces and parts were a little - not intimidating - just exhausting to look at. But I took a deep breath and it wasn't that bad. Now that we assembled it and mounted - it's pretty solid, sturdy and good looking, Holds 12 wine bottles without any signs of strain, and a half dozen wine glasses. If we didn't install this in our own home wine bar, I'd buy a couple for gifts - because they are a good combination of useful, elegant and a decent price. ... show more
