Easy to put together, very sturdy, and the brackets are adjustable to fit on 2x4, or round or square tubing. Great if you have one or 2 goats. It’s faster to tighten the nuts if you use a ratchet with a 10mm socket and the Allen wrench it came with.

Great for my goats. We used to have the net and it was such a pain to try and open it up wide enough to get hay in. Me and my goats love it. I also like that it catches all the loose hay so that it doesn't fall to the ground. It was also very easy to put together. I have no complaints, and if my goat could talk I'm sure they wouldn't either because there is now hay in the pen everyday. ... show more

Good buy to keep hay off the ground for animals. I would recommend

I bought two of these for my horses to keep the hay off the ground and from them eating bedding. They are good because they fit through the barn poles. And are steady. They do have sharp edges that I was worried about them cutting their faces so I bought rubber corners which did not stick, but so far they have not cut their faces so I guess it was not an issue. ... show more

I got this item originally for my growing Nubian goats it is well put together it has stood up well under the constant use. It's pretty easy to put together it did come with a few tools but I used my own but if you do not have any they would work okay. Reason I put four stars instead of five is simply because I ordered the non-coated metal and when it came it was coated but workability of the product durability so far seems good. ... show more

Pretty easy to put together but it is heavy an awkward to get started but once started very easy to assemble it will hook to welded kennel wire seems very well made for the money and for size 2 goats can munch on hay all day

Sturdy but not for small goats

This feeder is really rather sturdy. But the bottom our little goats like to lay in it. So don’t recommend for small goats.

Prefect feeder. Less wasted hay.

I originally made a feeder using 2x4 fencing and wood. It worked ok. However the goats started to tear apart the fencing and hay just fell through. I then tried this. It works perfectly. There is so much less waste with having the catch tray and it has cut down on hay purchases. Well worth it. I got two of these and they both were prefect. Our chickens decided to stay using it as a nesting box, so I did add a hinged piece of thin plywood to cover the top,which has worked very well. ... show more
