This is my second purchase of this. I own a boarding kennel and we use a lot of these. They are sturdy and easy to use. The clips are smooth to open and do not stick like some do. Had to update my review. I had previously thought for sure a lot of people were not checking the PULL force of these clips.... which I personally did for my wife before I ordered these.... and the springs in these are a joke. My wife's guide dog turned around with these clipping the handle to the dogs harness, slowly, and the clips both just popped off. Not sure how these are so weak. No where near able to hold the force it says in the product photos and description. If you really need something like this, pay the extra dollar or two for locking carabiners at your local hardware store. ... show more

The snaps are light and the quality is not high quality, but for what I need them for they do work. I gave them four stars because out of twelve items, one was damaged. It was bent and missing pieces to function. The box was backed to well and the missing pieces were not in the original container, so it can be concluded that it was packaged that way. ... show more

These are high quality snap hooks with a smooth finish (no burrs) and a smooth throw for the trigger clip. Based on the product's specs, these deserve the 5 Star review I've selected. For anyone who wants to use these outdoors fulltime: They slowly corrode with some rust. AGAIN, for use as intended (dog collar and lease attachment, etc. they are perfect), they are excellent. I use them to hold together the sides of an Exercise Pen (Ex-Pen) outside fulltime. be aware they will slowly corrode. ... show more
