I purchased this to place over my home office closet door to hold my active files rather than having them on the floor. I chose the door since I have no remaining wall space that I can easily walk up to. I chose this one since it has the narrowest profile so as to not get in the way when entering the closet. The hanging hooks are adjustable, but using them in the upside down U-configuration would be too thick to allow the door to close all the way. There’s a simple fix- just turn the rear part of the hook 180 degrees and tighten. This configuration avoids the brackets from overlapping under the door jam. To further stabilize it, I used the supplied wall mounting screws and screwed the bracket straight down into the top of the door. I then placed Velcro circles to the bottom two corners of the file organizer to keep it from swinging out. I took a star off because it arrived with somewhat warped dividers and the last divider wasn’t connected to the frame on one side. Fortunately, the metal is pliable and was able to bend it back to be straight and used crazy glue for the broken weld point and it’s now good.
