Never again will I spend 100 $ or more for walking shoes. These shoes are sold for a reasonable price. These shoes are described as Orthotic shoes. That’s right. The description is correct. These shoes are supportive and help correct bad walking and standing behavior. My husband is a retired US Army Combat Veteran. He served this country for 20 years. The occupational hazards associated with being a soldier are tremendous. My husband has too many orthopedic needs to mention. These shoes are helping him with those problems. These shoes have made walking less uncomfortable for my hubby. They are durable and will take a lot of walks to wear them out. The toe is wider and more comfortable. The inner part of the shoe where the heel rests cups the heel and corrects improper balance. With these shoes his arches are supported. Which in turn helps him to walk properly and avoid knee, hip and back strain. He is in less pain after his walks. I know this because he doesn’t sit as much or use ice/heat as often. I am so sad when I see that he is in pain. And he positively comments on the quality and comfort of these shoes. Each shoe is constructed from quality materials. The sole is thick and the under sole is textured. These shoes are unlikely to slip or skid as the texture is preventative. The shoes seem to be water resistant. If they are wet these shoes dry rapidly. The thick, bottom material of these shoes absorb stress that would otherwise travel to the knees, legs and hips. The heel flares out to absorb shock. The insides of the shoes are generously cushioned. Included are a pair of adhesive inner heel cushions. The insides are lined with soft fabric. These shoes laces are strong and they hold a knot. Wearing these shoes has improved my husbands activity level. He seems happier and has a spring in his step. ... show more

These sneakers far outweighed my expectations. The quality is outstanding, and the shoe is lightweight, which is always a plus. The wide toe box is unique in that, normally, the only way to get one is to buy a Wide-width shoe, and then the heel doesn't fit right!
