They have a slightly thicker bottom surface and the design glides easier on hard and low pile carpet then the caps the walker came with. This is our second set of these ski’s. They work really well especially in the house. They truly just glide along the tile and carpet. What the biggest benefit for my mom is that the entire house is tile with random area rugs. These little ski’s seem to just go right over the edge without an issue. Only one place she has a little issue, but I think it was more of a rug issue as opposed to the ski’s. We will continue to buy these as needed. Oh and only reason for 2nd set was because she caught a door facing pretty hard and stopped a piece off. Also super easy to put on walker. ... show more

One of my walker caps had been ground off, so I got these. They are much better than what came on my walker in terms of friction and thickness. They are even easy to remove when they EVENTUALLY wear down (I expect to be off the walker before then).

Perfect. Just grab the existing inserts and twisted them out. The new ones just slide right over the legs. Just make sure the curved up part is facing the wheels when you install them. Easy sliding on carpet. I would be careful if you have to use on solid surfaces. Throw an old sock and rubber band to hold them down for a little traction.
