This muffler was delivered with no packaging at all, and was roughed up a little in transit. Just some dents and scratches that no one will ever see. It fit well except that the hangers were smaller in diameter than Subaru oem so it's not as secure as it could be. Very quiet exhaust muffler. Great quality for the money and I recieved it quickly and undamaged.

The muffler arrived without any packaging, and was obviously banged up in transportation. Mainly the tailpipe end was dented along with the muffler "oval" which was the most damaged. Seller had included a prepaid FEDEX return label and I promptly returned it and emailed the seller that I was returning it. A few days later I received an apology and promise for full refund. After about a week or so I received full refund on the product. I would buy from this seller again, but be cautious of packaging. Ended up having my mechanic order a muffler made by BOSAL which looks nearly identical to this one. The muffler "oval/box" part is much smaller than the stock Subaru muffler on a 2007 Forester. It is also a bit noisier on the low end, a bit of a rumble. Slightly annoying but the whistle that had developed on the original stock Subaru muffler was MUCH worse. Stock muffler was $417 at the dealer, so $140 for an alternative, slightly more low-end rumble replacement is worth it. ... show more

My 2008 Subaru Forester 2.5x sports started making that awful squeal around 3000-4000rpm when pushing hard on the throttle. So I took a chance and bought this, it fits perfectly. Installation was a breeze; the hardest part was the nut that took a little bit of persuasion from Mr.wd40 and Mr.liquidwrench, otherwise I would've completed the install in 30 minutes. I didn't notice any difference in sound, not any louder or any quieter. Only time will tell how well this holds up, but I don't mind paying this price to do it myself vs going to a muffler shop. Update: so far I haven't noticed any difference in mpg gain or loss. So far so good. ... show more

2006 Subaru Forester LL Bean edition fit perfect. After 195,000 miles My original exhaust rusted in spots and had holes. So for 200 bucks got the walker resonator and muffler. Looks fantastic Now dont hear the exhaust when i start up or accelerate. stainless steel, hope it last a while

Front hanger was welded in the wrong place. Had to use it because already had old one off. Had to rig a clamp to hanger
