The finish is beautiful and it comes very neatly packaged. My issue is that there are no pilot holes and the wood, which is incredibly soft, splits upon driving screws into the pieces. I should have known better but nowhere in the instructions does it say to drill pilot holes first. The wood split in multiple places. I resorted to drilling pilot holes for the remainder of the assembly. I would steer clear of this item! If I hadn’t used wood glue for the dowels, I would disassemble and return this pile of crap. Also one of the drawer slides wasn’t straight so the drawer functionality is not smooth. ... show more

    • Handle those screws and nails VERY carefully!

Directions were very easy to follow and the entire process took about 1 1/2 hours. I did it primarily on my own but had someone on standby to hold it steady while putting in some screws. My main complaint is that there are no guidelines for the nails in back and it is extremely easy to accidentally chip the veneer of you don’t position them just right. Also, while screwing in the back of one of the drawers, the screw completely stripped away a portion of the interior so that there is now a bare screw edge sticking in to the interior of one drawer. I can only imagine that the guide hole for this particular screw was drilled incorrectly. Fortunately all chips are on the inside and don’t seem to compromise the integrity of structure, yet... All in all, it is a beautiful, solid piece, for the price. Not an heirloom piece by any means. But it will serve its purpose as a guest room dresser and it will look good doing it. ... show more

Super cute dresser. Drawers are not as smooth to open/close. Pretty easy to put together aside from one of the pieces not fitting. Got a replacement and it still didn’t work, ended up having to sand it ourselves.

This is a relatively inexpensive dresser so im not surprised that it is not the best quality. It was very difficult to assemble and missing all of the screws to secure the drawers on their track, walker edison was helpful in getting additional screws but still not the best experience. I have had this now for about 2 month and its already showing extreme signs of wear, the drawers no longer align and the face is starting to sepearate. Will survive for the next few month of renting but definately not a long term piece. ... show more

    • Sturdy, beautiful, but a bit hard to put together

The dresser is gorgeous, looks just like pictures and functions perfectly. Only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the ease of putting together. I’m a pro at putting together furniture like this and normally it’s a breeze since I’m great with instructions. But the problem with this was that they did not provide pre-drilled holes in places where there should have been some to prevent cracking. As a result, there were several interior cracks that make eventually effect the sturdiness and I started predrilling some holes with my own electric drill bits, which were the only connections where cracking didn’t occur. the first dresser we received could not be assembled due to damages but the return process was very simple. the replacement dresser was moderately difficult to assemble but ended up looking great! some of the drawers get “stuck” but overall this piece looks much more expensive than it is.

Dresser looks great and isn’t wobbly. Some pieces came broken and others cracked while building. Still usable and I enjoy the way it looks. Easy to assemble, even for a pregnant woman. Haha

Almost every single piece of this dresser came damaged, scratched, chipped, dented etc. I ordered this because I had recently purchased the Declan Urban Industrial coffee table from Walker thinking that it would be of the same quality - I was mistaken. Upon opening the packaging, I saw that almost every single piece of the dresser was damaged in some way. I was extremely disappointed to see the condition of these pieces, because I had come to expect higher standards from Walker and the products they put out. Especially when paying almost $400 for a dresser. Functionally, the dresser works fine. Aesthetically, it is a major disappointment. While this has not 100% dissuaded from ever purchasing from Walker again, I will now do my due diligence into other brands if this is the quality of products I can expect. ... show more
