Originally I ordered the smoke but it was too dark for my night driving so I ordered light smoke and it works fine with my led lights. I had no problems installing this on my headlights but my tail lights gave me a little trouble around the curves and I noticed about 2 months after installing it on my tail lights that it's starting to lift around the edges so I'll have to redo it. If I had someone to hold the heat gun while I molded the film around the curves of the tail lights it probably would have been a lot easier. In all, I would order this film again in the future if I needed more.

I got this in about 3 days before a hurricane came up out state. I decided the day before the Tropical Storm hit us “it downgraded to a Tropical Storm by the time it reached us” I was going to back my SUV into our garage and apply it to my break lights for fun to get myself use to working with this material. I was really easy to use and with some heat it would flex and stretch how you wanted it too. I completed the install and was excited for the storm to pass and the sun to come out and get a really good look at it. The next morning, the tropical storm was about 100 miles from us and coming towards us, but the winds it sent our way before it arrived we’re pretty strong. So strong it decided to have a nice size branch fall on the back of my SUV and smash in the back lift gate and roof and apart of my break lights. Off to the body shop it went and I never got to see how this taillight tint looked as I was all out of it now and when I got my SUV back the break light housings were replaced and no more taillight tint. Maybe one day soon I’ll try to order some more. But if your on the fence about ordering it, just order it, you’ll thank me later.

Unforgiving material. It’s stretch wrap instead of shrink wrap. If you stretch too far or the wrong way, you will have bubbles and ripples. Tough to install on curved lights. Looks good though

I bought this "special" vinyl, thinking it would be better than the original VViViD light smoke vinyl I purchased for my previous car. This version was so annoying to use , even though I had the help of a heat gun. 1) The plastic film they put on top is a good idea, except for the fact that you HAVE to leave it on when you apply the vinyl, otherwise you will create scuffs on the surface when you're laying it down. Plus, as you stretch the vinyl, the protective film may stretch differently, so your have to correct a "wrinkle" that may just be the film and not actually the vinyl. Trying to polish the lights after the protective film was off, I saw so many streaks and scuffs and the more I wiped, the worse it got. 2) Better hope you lay it in the correct position the very first time you try - my lights were clean, but as soon as I readjusted the position once, there were smudges/streaks everywhere under the adhesive. Nothing got better with heat gun, time, or sunlight exposure. 3) This may or may not be my fault, but this was not my first time putting down vinyl over odd shapes, but it is the first time I got so much liftoff a couple days after I applied it. Maybe because it's unseasonably cold in CA, but the car is garaged at night so it can't be that bad. Essentially, I'm going to have to take everything off, scrap it, and order the old version that hopefully is much easier to work with than this "special" version.

This is by far the best quality tint there is. If you have never worked with vinyl, or if you’re used to the wet vinyl, expect a learning curve. Key things I learned - watch the instructional video all the way thru. It’s not the best produced, but definitely the most informative. Learn the vinyl, take a small piece and play with it. See how much heat it takes, stretch it, just get a feel for it. This stuff is pretty well idiot proof. Just be sure to never overheat, leave protective film on top until very end. Use a super sharp brand new razor blade (small pen type ideally), . Use your fingers or SOFT squeegee - credit cards are very likely to scratch. Lastly, go with the lighter tint for headlights. - this all comes at s price. Expect to lose 50% of your headlight brightness. I have super bright 6k LEDs and that’s about what I lost.

Extremely dark even with pretty bright headlights on my car. Cant see at night or in rain. Looks really good and jet black on the car. Use heat around sharp curves. Will be trying the lighter one

I've done quite a few vinyl wrap jobs in the past and was honestly a bit skeptical of how this one would turn out. I've had issues where the vinyl begins to peel off or does some weird breaking, but this one was possibly one of the easiest ones I've ever worked with. The fact that its a dry application made it SO much easier!!! I will admit that I did have the aftermarket headlights off the bike. So to better explain, the first three pictures are an aftermarket "light smoked" headlights that have the stock housing. The headlights I installed this film on are from MotoDynamic, which completely changes entire front headlight layout. All in all, the vinyl wrap did exactly what I wanted it to do, which was provide a stealthy look while the bike is off. I am going to attempt to install this on my 2020 Kia Telluride. I'll update if/when I do that!
