After reading all the negative reviews about it not working with the explore and write activity desk, I needed to see if both were compatible as I planned to gift my 2.5 year old this as one of her Xmas gifts. So I put the activity desk together and tested out the sheets + cartridges and they are completely compatible. I bought the activity desk from target and ordered the activity expansion pack on Amazon. At first I did get a error with the first cartridge inserted but I followed the advice of another reviewer and powered the desk off and powered it back on and the cartridge was recognized right after and as well as the Additional cartridges and activity sheets. The majority of the inserts are normal educational material one would expect in a pack like this. However one inserts side uses the biblical story of Noah's Ark. Not a big deal really, but for families whos religious beliefs don't include Noah's Ark a warning it's included would be nice. Or an option not to buy that particular one or switch it out for something else. ... show more

My son got the writing and learning activity table as a gift. These additional pages are amazing and worth every penny!! Plus I love how it comes organized and color coded. My son is able to put in the cartridges and pages by himself so it’s a great independent play addition!

I would have absolutely have loved this for my son but please keep in mind that it’s only for certain tables. Our son was gifted a newer table and these don’t work with it. I’m looking forward to the updated extension packs because they are so educational and keeps my child engaged.
