  • It’s very well made, but for younger eyes!
I really, really love this scope! It’s so well made! Glass is pretty clear! The windage and elevation turrets are so easy to adjust, just pull up, click and push down to lock. They should all be made like this! Eye relief is a bit tough for me, It was around 3 inches, but it’s not a dealbreaker. I have it on top of my 5.56 with a QD mount, it clears my A2 front fixed sight with no problem. However, I just can’t see or shoot that clearly with it passed 25yards. Maybe it’s just my eyes, or the small 16”x16” target I was using. I’m almost 60, have astigmatism, nearsighted, and wear glasses with bifocals! But I found it difficult to shoot targets at 50 yards. I do recommend this scope, especially for the price. I might put it on top of my 9mm PCC, on its flip mount, if it’s not too high or heavy, and if Votatu CS responds to my request for a lower mount/adapter plate option, since the scope has a proprietary mounting system that converts to picatinny. If not I’m pretty sure I’ll be returning it for something more powerful, I wish Votatu offered a much more powerful one, I would definitely buy it! ... show more

  • Good value
I've had better optics, but I had to pay a lot more for them. That being said, I'm happy with this scope- its held its zero pretty well and is fairly clear. Sits on an AR that gets drug around the farm a lot

  • VERY GOOD 3x, prism, dual color, shake awake scope
Very impressed with this optic. Well made, lots of upgraded features. Smaller than a scope, easy to use, fairly lite, much better than average red dot: this has a reticle that you can use for range finding and drop holds. I would buy this again vs a traditional red dot scope.

  • Will not adjust. At all
Would be great if it worked. Try to contact seller, just says outside return window. So this is 105$ garbage addition. If they contact me and fix this, im 100% willing to revise this. But as it stands this is garbage and you're better off with a company that 100% backs every product at an amazing deal called MONSTRUM. Not left in the dark like these guys, monstrum replaced a broke sight over a year after purchase no questions asked. Uggghhhh. Headache from this company ... show more

  • For a budget optic from an unknown company it's not bad.
Ok folks so, here we have the Votatu P3x prism optic. Upon first opening the box I was pleasantly surprised to find that while it wasn't some luxury container it was significantly better than just some kind of cardboard box. Inside it was foam padded and each item was wrapped in a plastic baggie. Mine came with an extra CR2032 battery (one was already in the optic), a replacement cross bolt screw for the mount, two small form factor allen wrenches to tighten down the optic once mounted, an owners manual with the specs and various directions and also two base locking screws and a microfiber cloth to help wipe off the lenses and optic body. Some of the features I noticed immediately were that the optic came with very tactile windage and elevation knobs that were surprisingly both locking and had very satisfying half moa clicks for adjustment. The battery cap was very secure with a good feel for when it's snugged down and also removed there is some very slight difficulty with lining up the battery cap but that is a very small nitpick as if you aren't wearing gloves or in a major hurry it won't be a detriment in the least. The flip cap lens covers were also very surprising in how well they also felt both in securing down over the lenses but also in the resistance springs that held them up and out of the way when utilizing the optic. It does have active shake awake as well as 10 brightness levels for the reticle. So with that out of the way, lets go ahead and get into the brass tacks of why this is a budget optic: - The glass is nothing to write home about. If you are used to low grade optical glass or have just used budget optics for all of your shooting then this optic's glass will likely seem to be about upper middle grade "chinesium" - The reticle itself isn't bad it does have several bdc markings to assist with range finding but it too is nothing too special. It's very easy to lose the reticle against anything too impactful such as in brush or in the dark when you will need it most. If you do not have the reticle lit then you will find that it is even more difficult to keep your sights on especially when trying to focus on a target that might have any kind of concealment or shadows. - The brightness settings state that they have ten levels of intensity but let's be real. You can certainly push the button ten times in either direction if you like but the brightest setting on red is useable but it's certainly not going to be burning a crosshair into your retinas. For some, that's a good thing. For myself not so much. Sadly while the reticle is lit and you can find it, it is very easy to lose. When utilizing the green reticle you will find this to be even more of an issue. - Eye relief is ehhhhh it's definitely not the best. You'll find that you will lose the reticle if you turn your weapon of choice but also if you make a quick reposition and need to keep your sights on target you will definitely find it tough to keep in sight. However, this may be somewhat mitigated with training. Granted, by the time you've gotten good enough at holding the reticle in movement and target changes you will likely have grown out of this particular optic and upgraded to something else. - The mounting solution is made for a pic rail and it's height seemed perfectly fine on my aero precision rail. However, considering the optic did come with a replacement crossbolt that did give me some hesitance to really believe it would stand up to a decent amount of recoil or a high round count. It also has those 2 base locking screws which isn't something I've generally come across but it could just be because of my limited experience with a ton of optics. Who knows, I'd just be cautious both in zero retention but also in possibly losing the optic in the field should the crossbolt break. I didn't put it through a torture test so who knows it might just be perfectly fine. - Some of the flaws I noticed were that if you have the optic turned and not right on you will catch sight of a double image at the edges as well as a sort of mirroring effect towards the bottom of the sight that can get very annoying. While I did not test this optic in an overwhelming white light scenario to see if the reticle could hold, I did try it in a room with flourescent lighting and found it to be just the right contrast to become skewed or even lost entirely if held at just the wrong angle. There's also a very metallic tang to the air as soon as you open the optic it isn't something I've ever experienced with other things and while it's a very minor issue for some it may prove problematic as I've noticed the longer you have it out in an enclosed space the more you sort of taste that metallicness on your tongue and it almost feels like it's taking a very dusty dump in your mouth. Pardon my language there. Overall I would say that the Votatu P3x is a very affordable 3x prism with enough going for it that it'll be a pleasant addition to your budget AR of choice and if you choose to put it on something else just keep in mind that you may need to double check your mounting and zero retention if run through high use or with powerful loads that cause significant recoil. I give this a total of 3 stars out of 5 which is pretty decent, considering and feel comfortable saying that it's a good buy for the price to affix to any budget plinking build. However, if your use case is something more intense than just casual plinking or a little tactical fun... well, your mileage may vary. Peace! ... show more

  • Good value for the money
I have this scope and its awesome. Glass is clear, the reticle is easy to use. I have it on a Tippmann M4 22 and its zeroed at 25 yards. The pull-up knobs make windage and elevation adjustments quick and easy. The plus and minus for reticle color and brightness are easy to adjust. So I am very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more
