The bag is well constructed and does everything it promises. The only issue I have is with the internal pockets. It would be nice to have zippers or some closing method inside the bag. If the bag turns upside down, the contents will fall out of the internal pockets into the main chamber. They stay secure, but they will mix inside the bag ... show more

I bought this, and another VOS dry bag, 3 months ago, for a trip I'm taking next week. I assumed if you bought a bag to keep things dry, that's what it would do, but not this bag. Just tested it in the tub and as you can see, the original packing material is drenched...and that's after I drained most of the wat out. I am livid. Must now figure out something for my trip. Ugh! When going for short boat rides from our camp on Lake George, we always have been throwing a few items in a Wegmans shopping bag - wallet, phone, house keys, a small towel, mini-binoculars, sunglasses.. Of course the open top isn't the best - bag tips, stuff tumbles out. Hasn't happened yet - stuff dumps out in Lake. This nice purpose built tote has replaced it. Not quite as large, but adequate for us. The press-fit top when the two sides are snapped together solves the 'tumbling out' issue - but don't bank on it to be waterproof. Bag vinyl seems waterproof to protect against the occasional splash or sun shower. We don't expect it to be totally waterproof with its loosely closing top - it's usually tucked under the steering console anyway. Inside pocket for cell phone has clear vinyl window. I can't quite see giving it 5 stars though given the poor top closure..
