These skates are sick. They look amazing. Build quality is very good. They have Nylon plates and they’re solid. They’re very comfortable and there was a slight break in period but it was very quick, like one hour of skating. Wheels seem to be great. Bearings are nice also. Awesome skates! Just adjust the trucks and wheels asap, I laced them at the rink 20 minutes after delivery and was off no problems at all! Very smooth and fit my shoe size perfectly! Smooth crisp and responsive, I'm 255 and these are very durable! But would recommend toe guards to keep them nice! Mine scuffed after one fall 9 out of 10 would recommend and would buy again! ... show more

Virtually no break-in period. My feet are 24.75 cm long and 10.5 cm at the widest part, and I got the size 8 (men's 8, women's 9). I usually wear a 9 in women's shoes, but I think I could have MAYBE gotten away with the men's 7. I wear two pairs of socks and orthotic insoles and these fit just perfect. At first the ankles rubbed pretty good in the front and I had to put athletic tape there, but that seems to have gone away. I don't love the velcro closure for the lace cover; the laces get caught in the velcro so I have to do a little extra tugging to pull them tight. The color is a nice deep red, not as bright as in the picture. Got Bionic toe stops for more control. ... show more

Bought these for my 11 year old daughter and they are amazing! As always, Vanilla makes a great skate! Update, I dropped my review to 4 stars after trying to change out the toe stops. The threads were bent after we finally got the jam stops out. My hubs had to rethread them so we could get new ones in. I've never had this problem with vanilla skates before. I'm hoping it's just a fluke and not a reflection of vanillas product degrading. ... show more

Ordered and they were delivered way ahead of schedule. Everything was perfect except the extremely strong odor of a paint/oil type. Could be from the bearings or maybe just materials. Overall. Highly satisfied and they’re comfortable.
