  • My favorite running/walking shoes
Size: 11 Wide Color: Obsidian
I have owned these for about a year and have run about 750 running miles in them so far, so it's review time. Style: I researched barefoot running but wanted a shoe that I could wear year round and this shoe was perfect, style-wise, to fit the bill. They are just plain black for the most part and I ended up wearing them daily all year. Running/Comfort: I have put in quite a bit of mileage on these shoes and after I learned how to run/walk without the assistance of cushioning, I prefer them to my HOKA's. You should do some research into barefoot running before taking off in these but I no longer have shin/patella/knee pain, it's amazing. Gym: These are the perfect gym shoes for me. I can squat and run on the treadmill without needing a change of shoes. If you lift in Chuck Taylors then you'll love these. It's the closest to thing to barefoot you'll find. Durability: I didn't think they would hold up as well as they did. The one issue I had was my eagle talon of a big toe wearing through the top (quickly fixed with some black thread/needle). That said, this is a common issue for me and Vans Authentics only last me about 3 months before developing this issue, so these perform leagues better. The soles are impressive, very impressive. As stated I've run over 750 miles in these shoes AND wear them every day but the soles themselves are showing some wear but nothing concerning. I will purchase a new pair when my current pair wears out completely and I would recommend them to anyone seeking a good barefoot shoe. ... show more

  • Best Shoes
Size: 8 Wide Color: Navy
I am a medical student and became very interested in natural foot health after receiving a scoliosis diagnosis, feeling that my problem is musculoskeletal. I bought these shoes and my lower back pain left. I use these in placers I need to have my feet covered and can't wear my earth runners. Get these if you are thinking about it. I also bought the waterproof outdoor vivo primus models, but the light with the shoes laces and the manufactured upper is just WAYYYY better. You can;t beat it. I know they had issues with the toe box ripping with wear but that hasn't happened to me and I have had them for a hot minute now, wearing them to patient exams and such. These are also my emergency shoes if I need to run. I plan on DEFINITELY using these in the Emergency Room when I go on rotations. ... show more

  • Great for the feet
Size: 11 Wide Color: Bright White
I grabbed the Vivobarefoot Primus Lite III trainers and they’ve quickly become my go-to for both running and everyday wear. The recycled PET mesh is super breathable and makes my feet feel cool even on warm days. The barefoot-style design and thin sole make everything from walking to lifting feel more fluid and natural. They’re lightweight but durable, and the wide toe box gives my feet plenty of room to move, which helps keep me balanced and grounded. Plus, knowing they’re vegan and eco-conscious makes me feel good about wearing them. ... show more

  • Great sneakers for prosthetic leg users
Size: 11 Wide Color: Obsidian
My husband uses a prosthetic and needed a really good pair of shoes for fit and comfort. He heard good things about these sneakers and decided to try them out. He’s worn them everyday and they work out great for him. They’re a good size, for his foot and prosthetic. He likes the style of the shoe. They’re pretty lightweight and worth what we paid. I’d share a photo but he’s at the gym. ... show more

  • This is ASMR for your feet.
Size: 8 Wide Color: Bright White
There are more than enough reviews on this shoe, so I won't repeat what has already been said about barefoot shoes, this shoe, durability, etc. There are two important things I will touch on: sizing and the lived experience with the shoe. 1. Sizing differs on different Vivo models. Research the specific model you are looking for on various online forums. They do not make half-sizes, so sizing can be a bit tricky. I bought the same size I wear in regular Adidas Stan Smith shoes, and I find that the shoe runs a bit long, but because of the design my foot doesn't slide at all and, after agonizing over whether I ordered the correct size, I am happy and comfortable! 2. This is ASMR for your feet. You will feel every crack in the sidewalk. Your feet will bend around rocks which gives great (and healthy) pressure around your sole. When I get home and take them off, it feels like I've had a foot massage. I find random excuses to go for walks. When I put other, cushioned shoes on, while the support is comfortable, my senses feel stunted. I wonder how crazy it is that for all these years I have been walking with these stunted senses - we have a crazy number of nerve endings in our feet, and they were completely dull in regular shoes. It's almost like losing taste once you've experienced it. Caveat: Barefoot shoes are not for everyone, and if you have a history of pain in your feet, knees, etc. you should consult a medical professional before embarking on this journey. Luckily for me, that is not the case, and I am loving it. ... show more

  • Feels Extremely Cheap
Size: 11 Wide Color: Obsidian
The shoe looks amazing, but that's where the positives end. It looks and feels cheap in person. The worst part is that it comes with a huge premium price tag when other brands (like Hobibear) are affordable, comfortable and have a great construction. Save your money and look into Hobibear instead.

  • Overpriced and fragile, but good for wide feet and fantastic for flexibility.
Size: 11 Wide Color: Obsidian
To start off with the negatives: It is fragile. Really fragile. I walk ~10 miles(16km) a day, and the sole was around the toes/ball of the foot by the second month. Now, three months later it's now uselessly slick. The outer mesh is weak. Sticks can rip it, pallet wood too. The insole is kinda bad, but a lot of people remove it. Poor size selection, and runs large. If you have wide feet like me(10.5EEEE), then just run the closest size, the width will be fine. But there are positives, especially if you have limited ankle mobility and want to improve things like squat depth and general ankle health. I've struggled with dorsiflexion (lifting toes) range my entire life, but after using these for 3 months my squat range has doubled. Be careful to adapt. I didn't need to, it was fine, but some will. Is it worth $100+ dollars? No. Too easy to break. I'd happily buy it for $70-90, though. ... show more
