  • UPDATE: Get this one!!!!! It's great!
Size: Small
UPDATE: Love it! Get this one!!! I have tried several other brands and had to return them. Some cheaper, some similar price. Had big problems with every one of them and this one if just about perfect! Don't fuss around with others like I did. This one is well made, quality, comfortable as it can be under the circumstances, and does the job. Wish I had gotten this one first. It is a bit wide. I am split between a regular and wide size so perhaps this is wider than usual. But I'm not in bandages anymore. If one is still wearing bandages the width would be good. When I do the top strap the part that says "Vive" the edge hits the ground a little. I don't care because it works and I'm not wearing it as a fashion statement. Don't shop around. It is just not worth the trouble and agony. Get this one!!! It's better than the first one the surgeon put on. did read sizing directions carefully and it is just too big. Really disappointing because it looks like a good boot. So I am returning this one and ordering a size smaller. I did not actually try on the one I got because I think that may void return policy. But I matched it up to the boot I am currently wearing (It's worn out) and this one is much bigger. Of note they are supposed to protrude enough to protect the toe. You don't want it to end at your toes like a normal shoe. Still too big, but the quality looked good enough that I am trying again. My 4 stars is based one perceived quality based on visual inspection. Will update my review after I receive replacement. ... show more

  • Love this shoe so far!
Size: X-Small
I bought this as a replacement to a different shoe that had a "rocking" sole. That shoe broke in like 5 places and was very uncomfortable to walk in. I broke my middle toe and have been trying to find something I can walk in. This shoe is it. I thought the big flap on top was ugly, but it's much more secure than the ones with 3 straps. It's also much more comfortable than the 3 strap rocker shoe I originally bought. I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Well Constructed
Size: Small
Bought for broken toe and possible broken metatarsal. Square toe offers side protection (photo #1) but be conscious of making a wide berth around objects. Velcro on ankle strap and toe coverage flap stays secure. Never loosens on its own. Both are very functional no matter which foot the shoe is worn on. Strap length is quite long and can be cut shorter. Sole is unbendable, but is NOT a rocker sole as stated in description. It is flat as seen in my side view photo #2. The flat sole still allows your toes to flex to some degree, so I must always be aware of not allowing my broken bone(s) to bend as I walk. There is no arch support on the inside - it's just a flat sole. This is understandable as the shoe can be for either foot. I tried to capture this in photo #3. I must wear an orthotic to support my high arch and shoe easily accomodates it. I wear a ladies 9 1/2 so I bought size Small for women according to seller's chart that fits up to size 10. The shoe length is perfect. My foot is narrow and this surgical shoe will accomodate any foot width. Shoe would be a 5 star winner if it had a rocker sole. That makes a HUGE difference in stabilizing broken bones AND providing pain relief when walking. I do have a more expensive boot that has a rocker sole. But its klunky, goes halfway up my calf, and much too warm to wear in hot summer weather. So I opted for this Vive lightweight post-op shoe. I am very satisfied with its high quality and sturdy construction at a very affordable price. It's better than wearing a shoe which offers no protection or stabilization for broken toes. If I ever break another toe in the summer I would wear this post-op shoe again. But my larger boot with a true rocker sole offers better relief for broken bones in foot/toes. ... show more

  • It works fine!
Size: XX-Small
It is pretty easy to put on. the strap is a little long but you can adjust it or cut it off. I bought the Xtra Small because I wear a size 6-6.5 women's shoe. Fits perfectly. I wore it for 2 weeks and it is machine washable.

  • Runs extremely small and narrow!!!
Size: Large
I had extensive surgery on my foot and lower leg. I started in a cast, progressed to a walking boot, and now transitioning to this shoe. The next step is back into a regular sneaker. Due to my insurance, I couldn’t get a shoe at the doctors office. Local suppliers wanted and arm and a leg for a cheaper made shoe. So I ordered this one after looking at different shoes on here. While the quality is ok (not the fanciest/best made but definitely not the cheapest), it runs extremely small. Based on other reviews, I decided to order the large shoe. I typically wear a 10.5 or 11 woman’s shoe. My foot heel to toe measures 9 /34”. The Medium which included my shoe size, stated it was 10.4” long. I wanted a little room in the front in case I bump my foot as it’s still painful. So I decided to go with the large that stated shoe sizes larger than I wear and it was 11.9”. However this sole barely measures 11” from the back heel to toe. Then, you loose some space for the shoe part. It also is a very snug/narrow fit. And before someone wanted to blame it on swelling from surgery, I tried it on my opposite foot and it was still a tight/snug fit. My mother tried it on when I was telling her and she felt it was a snug fit and her size 12 woman’s foot was too big for the shoe. Her toes slightly hungover the top of the shoe. The base is also somewhat firm. I have incisions on the bottom and back of my heel that needs some cushion for comfort. I ended up buying some gel heel pads to add the needed cushion so it’s not painful when I walk. I don’t want to totally fault the shoe for firmness when I have a sore area on the bottom, but I feel it should be a bit more cushy in high pressure areas like the walking boots as people who need these typically have some foot pain. All and all this is a transition period for me to work into a shoe. So I was trying to go middle of the road. Amazon doesn’t allow returns of this item, so I’m trying to make it work. For me, it’s going to be a short period of use, so I didn’t want to spend tons on a surgical shoe. However I won’t be buying this shoe again in the future and won’t recommend it to anyone to use. I’d start with something in the same price range. ... show more
