Product fits great with or without a coat on under it, shoulders are thicker which makes shooting for hours easier. Shell holders are great and hold my 12 gauge shells great it might probably fit 20 gauge as well. Game bag is semi hard to reach from the sides but could drop things in easy from the top. I decided to go out bird hunting this year and it was my first time in over 10 years. I wanted to pick up a couple essential items that were not to expensive just in case I don't make it out again for another 10. All in all this is vest gets the job done. It is a one size fits all vest with 3 adjustable straps on the sides to adjust for different chest sizes. I did find that the elastic holders for the extra shotgun could have been positioned a bit lower. I almost lost two shells while pheasant hunting just from walking and the typical motions of shooting birds in flight. The rear pouch is plenty big, I was able to carry my daily bag limit as well as an extra bird from one of my hunting partners. The back can be completely separated from the front. I found this useful as I used a hose to wash out the pouch after a hunt. The vest is made of thick canvass material and drys quickly. ... show more

I purchased this vest to replace another vest that didn't have any shell storage. This vest has two pockets in the front that can easily accomadate a box of shells in each pocket. There is adequate padding on the shoulders and the material to include the zippers is of higher quality than I expected. Do not hesitate to purchase this vest if you are looking for an upland vest.     • Much better quality than I expected
Much better quality than I expected. Adjustable enough that I can make it fit well if I'm wearing just a t-shirt or a bunch of bulky layers for cold weather. It's still an inexpensive vest, but as I said, much nicer than I expected and very durable so far (I've had it for about a year). If I had to complain, I would say that it could use more orange in the front. You're looking at total of only about 100 square inches on the front. You get another 15 square inches on the top of each shoulder, and about 230 square inches of orange on the back (the back is pretty much all orange), for a total of approximately 360 square inches of hunter orange. Bear in mind that most of the orange is covered up if you wear a non-orange backpack. Overall an excellent affordable vest for upland bird hunting, and a passable option for big game hunting if you wear some orange on your sleeves. ... show more

Just received my new hunting vest! Canโ€™t wait for the next opportunity to use it. It was thicker and heavier than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. People talk about it being warm. Itโ€™s a vest so Iโ€™m not sure how that works with no sleeves, but I bet it stops the wind. Very adjustable for comfort. A little stiff when new but it should break in nicely. ... show more

Great feel when I wear it. Good quality. only two complaints. 1. Game pouch small and hard to reach. 2. The ammo loops are a little too big. 12 gauge shells loose in them. Other than that good deal for the Price.

    • Very adjustable for sizing
My husband ordered this for me since I'm new to upland game bird hunting. When he first opened it up I thought it looked too big. It's incredibly adjustable, though! It has straps that allow for easy adjustment all over! I'm really happy with it.
