This is a great monitor. It is very big for a portable monitor yet still easy to carry around. I love that it comes with its own case since it's not a standard size that you could buy a laptop sleeve for. I bought this to use as my main monitor for work when I am traveling. There is so much more screen real estate than on my 14 inch laptop. It also plays video very clearly. I have been very impressed with it so far. The kickstand is also very sturdy and it's much easier to use than portable monitors that have the fold over flap as a built-in stand. I have one of those and it falls over all the time. This monitor stays up easily and can be adjusted to any angle.

I am happy with this monitor as a second monitor for my MacBook Pro and PC. It is surprisingly simple and lightweight, and it seems reliable. I’ve been using the VisionOwl Portable Monitor as a second screen for both my MacBook Pro and a PC laptop, and it’s been exactly what I needed for a flexible, hot-desk setup. The biggest advantage is how effortless it is to plug-and-play with USB-C, no setup, no drivers, no friction. Within seconds, I have a clean dual-screen workspace wherever I am. 18.5 inch VisionOwl portable monitor -THE perfect monitor - I purchased mine on July 28, 2025. I love it! Great size AND very portable... It's large enough so that I use it as an extended monitor at work - great brightness, crisp contrast and excellent text clarity. When I head into conference rooms to host in-person meetings with 10-16 attendees, I slip my VisionOwl monitor into it's provided protected, handled & thin carrying sleeve and easily relocate it/set it back up. Its integrated, steady and adjustable stand is perfect - and the larger-size monitor is such a help in my meetings. Then, when I host smaller my smaller in-person meetings/presentations with 2-3 attendees, I turn my monitor/face it towards them to provide enhanced presentations. BUT - the BEST part: VisionOwl's Customer Service... impressive! While I was registering for the free 2-year warranty and choosing my free accessory, I needed a bit of extra help, so I contacted their customer service... VisionOwl's customer service were not only extremely prompt - they were extremely helpful! They went out of their way to deliver Best-In-Class Customer support - for a great product. And FYI - my free accessory (a very sturdy adjustable stand) -arrived within just a couple days!

I bought this to use as a travel monitor and it has been great. The picture is crisp and clear. The screen is bright. Its the perfect compromise of size for portability and utility. It works great with my MacBook Pro, just plug and go. The stand quality is sturdy as well. The carrying case is high-quality and it comes with all of the necessary cables and power supply.

The media could not be loaded. I got the 18.5" monitor. So worth it. Though the camera does not capture the resolution of the monitor super well, in person, the resolution is great! I'mnot sure how it would be with video games, but for refular work/computer tasks, it's great! It's perfect for my traveling needs. It's light and thin, with a great grippy kick-stand, and it also comes with a really nice grey protective sleeve (also pictured). "Set-up" takes all of 30 seconds, just connect monitor to power source (comes with monitor), and the HDMI cable -- that also comes with the monitor, -- to the computer, et voilà!

I came across this device after reading Popular Mechanic on best portable monitors of 2025. The audio quality is excellent, and appreciate the wider screen dimensions compared to others on the market. Best equipment that I could invest in when handling emergency events where there is a lack of monitors available to assist with multitasking, as well as its light weight and compactness. Hi refresh rate, usb-c power source, and good price. I also appreciated its modularity, meaning that with the VESA standard mount potential, I could extend its functionality using my three-monitor stand workstation mounts

This, however, is the BEST Portable Monitor by far. Crystal clear images (truth in manufacturing - what a pleasure) easy controls and easy to use, overall - a real pleasure pleasure in every way. Great and rapid technical service (e-mail) by people who care and are really thinking about the product so they can help you! My new and major productivity tool, easy connectivity, great HDMI and USB-C ports, rapid refresh rate and, AMAZING value for your money. In addition, if you take the few moments to register the product you get an automatic TWO-YEAR warranty. Just take a look at the Lake Louise photo I've included (mine BTW) - need I say more! Works amazingly well with my MacMini (2024). In short - I give it five stars only because I can't give more than this!
