I purchased this arm for the purpose of a laptop. My lap top is 13 or so inches. I took the laptop holder and flattened it at 180-degrees and used the 360-function of my laptop to act as a monitor. My favorite aspect of this arm is the tiny, but very important detail: the cord holder. It is actually a hard piece of plastic, it looked malleable in the pictures, but its actually solid. It snaps off, it is removable. You can place your cords inside of it and it will snap back on. For those wondering if this is going to be high enough for you? Yes. It's almost too high for me, and forces me to sit with good posture. I think it is also important to point out that it is not perfectly straight head-on. There is a slight lopsided-ness to the screen depending on the side (right or left) you clamp the arm on. Have that expectation in mind when you purchase this - but also know that it is adaptable and I do not notice it after two weeks of use. I mean, it is BARELY there. I do not think you will achieve a perfectly even, aligned arm display unless you clamp it directly in front of you - which is not always practical to do. Overall, 5/5 purchase, met my expectations of displaying my laptop and decluttering my desk top.

This is a well designed sturdy mount. Screw down base and adjustable arm are rock solid. Used for holding new 13" MacBook Air. Keeps laptop secure. Adjustable for all angles. Mounting clamp is well built with a large surface grip area and holds securely. No worries of it coming off. Nice slim arm design. Not thick like others out there. Great for the space conscious. Cable management is also nice. Comes complete with all the tools, laptop tray and monitor mount including all screws. Quick and easy assembly and adjustment. Packaged well. Would highly recommend and buy again. You can't go wrong with this item.

Pros: I found this easy to install. They allow for installing the arm upside down for laptops as they would require a different angle than a monitor... made for 2 types of installations, monitor and laptop. Seems made of sturdy materials. Some have noted there is some give but that is to be expected with an adjustable and I find it not to be really bad unless you tend to rest a lot of weight on your arms while typing. Unlike some of the others I looked at, this has a ledge on the laptop attachment, which I like. There is one design flaw I see, however, which might be a big problem for some people. The side grips, though acceptable for holding the laptop in place, also tend to block 1 or more USB ports. If they had made it adjustable so it could be moved to a different area of the laptop, it would have been more useful. For my purposes, since the laptop I'm using it on isn't my primary laptop, it works ok for me. The laptop I'm using is a bit thicker than most new ones and tends to pop up out of the grip on one side. I solved this by using a piece of felt for protection and clamping it to the laptop plate. I also ran a thin strap around the entire lower part to hold the laptop securely onto the plate. The plate looks like it is securely attached to the arm, however so I don't think that will be an issue.

I love this mount stand! I set this onto a side table nest to my recliner to use as a holder for my IPad. I am an avid reader and use Kindle Unlimited. With the Kindle app I am able to read from my IPad. This mount is perfect for me. I can read without having to hold the IPad and with it's swivel arm, I can swing it away from me when I need to get up off of the recliner. I have also used this with my laptop and it works very easily. The stand is super easy to put together, and adjusts to any hight you may need. I am so glad I purchased this product, it was worth the price!

This was easy enough to assemble, and the materials feel solid, but it isn’t well produced. Mine arrived looking a bit slanted, which makes me question its stability. It also had a scratch on the arm. I had to put a piece of cloth between the clamp and the shelf to mitigate some of the damage it did to the finish. 😕 Since my space is tight this is unfortunately my third try trying to find something that fits. I guess it will have to do.

I've used this articulating arm for a whole different purpose. We just added a hot tub mot our back yard and it is next to a wooden fence with no room to build or place a table next to the tub. I wanted a place to put my outdoor speaker, glasses and drink ware. Instead of using the the clamp mount we screwed the articulating arm to the nearest fence post and instead of putting a laptop in the holder I put a cutting board of similar size. Plenty strong, works perfect!

Received this yesterday and was installed within 10 minutes. Easy to install and a quality product. Laptop sits very secure and wide range of angles and positions. With limited desk space, this really provides more desktop to work with. Highly recommend. Have two monitor screens mounted too and with the laptop now elevated, was able to align it with the monitors and looks great.
