  • AMAZING ONCE YOU COVER 2ND HOLE WITH TAPE!
Color: KEY D
Beautiful piece! Unreal for the price. For a beginner use tape over dizi hole (2nd) hole. YOU MUST COVER HOLE TO GET SOUND. Using real stuff they sent is awesome, but not until you can get sound out of the whole thing. Watch few YouTube videos on it and practice blowing like you would a bottle of water. Took me a minute but now I want one of each key. Great for hiking etc. Low weight, beautiful, and cheap enough you can give it to kids or beat it up. Then come back and rebuy to support this great product. Wait to buy nicer pieces till you love it. Great for kids to learn. So thrilled now i know the tape trick, packing works great, then scotch for more resonance sound. 💓💞💓🌬 ... show more

  • Nice begginer Dizi, but could use a manual
Color: KEY D
I received this product earlier than expected. It came with no manual which I feel is a con, at least an assembly booklet would have been useful. But I did not gave up, I searched on Youtube and found that you have to cover the membrane hole. The dizi brings a paper called E-dimo, which is the membrane paper used to cover the hole. It brings a little brown piece that turned out to be the glue, to glue the edimo. After glueing the edimo and learning hand positioning, I was able to put some sound into this! (Thanks Paul Chin) Gotta say feels pretty good and I hope that with practice I can make some nice tunes overall. Llego rapido y estoy muy satisfecho con el producto. Solo recuerde buscar un tutorial en Youtube y ya! ... show more

  • Hard to use like all bamboo flute but looks and sounds nice
Color: KEY D
It takes a long time to learn how to put your mouth and blow but it looks very pretty and sounds pretty nice. Doesnt come with membrane instruction so you will have to go look on youtube how to cover the membrane hole to use your Dizi before you can use it correctly.

  • Mine were off key. You might get lucky
Color: KEY G
I mean for the money, these look good and don't sound half bad especially considering even a good quality tenor recorder or low tin whistle or a bamboo bansuri cost many times more. Except, the dizi's I ordered were all off-key (and I'm aware Dizi's are labelled on the 3rd hole not on the fundamental 6th hole like western instruments) and really not very useful to me. Just for fun though, these aren't bad, but even so I had better luck with another seller who was selling for less. If you know what you're looking for as far as Dizi's go, then I'd say spend a bit more and get a good quality one that comes with a hard case. If it's just for fun these ain't bad but be sure to check with a tuner and ask for a replacement if you aren't satisfied. ... show more

  • Hard to learn but sounds great when you do
Color: KEY E
Really good flute, great quality but if you’re like me and have never touched a flute before keep reading cause this may help. I got this cause I wanted to learn the flute but wanted to get something cheaper than a western flute, that being said it took me 2 days just to figure out how to get it to make a decent sound, so keep that in mind. I highly suggest for anyone learning this instrument for the first time to use tape instead of the membrane it gives you, it made it a little easier for me at least. I also suggest looking at YouTube videos of people showing you how to play or even videos of people playing them and examine their posture and such. ... show more

  • Nice flute but instructions only in Chinese
I bought this for my grand daughter--and luckily I bought an instruction book to go with it. It is of good quality and contains the things you need, but without instructions you would not even know what these things are, or what to do with them. There are also youtube videos, which is probably what we will use, that demonstrates how to do this. There is a membrane that must be attached, and the glue that comes with it does not look like glue--be careful when you open as these things are small and could be lost. The book has instructions of how to attach the membrane, and the black square thing is evidently the glue that you have to wet and use to attach it. This flute came heavily wrapped in plastic, and the membrane and glue are in small packages in the plastic that were hard to see, so look carefully for them. This flute is too big for smaller children, and would probably not buy for a child who has no experience with musical instruments especially woodwinds any way. But a nice looking flute that is well made. Worth the price. Should have more instructions. ... show more

  • Came with No Instructions
Color: KEY D
I did not know how to put it together. It came with no instructions. I did not want to deal with searching for the product online; I shouldn't have to do that.

  • First 3 notes are wrong
Color: KEY F
I have been trying to practice with this dizi and the notes kept sounding off. I initially thought my playing was off. I opened a pitch detector and it turns out the notes are A#, g#, f# rather than A, G, F. Disappointed.
