The gasket set is complete. They appear to be great quality for the price. I recommend buying the kit without head bolts, and order ARP head bolts so you don’t have to worry about torque to yield bolts breaking. I’m in the process of building my 2001 5.3, so I’ll update my review after it’s up and running for a while. Edit: the engine has been up and running for a few weeks, and almost 1,000 miles. I definitely recommend these MLS head gaskets. The ARP headbolts already paid off, I had to tear the engine back down to replace the roller lifters. The ARP headbolts are reusable. Edit: I see a few bad reviews from guys buying the wrong kit for their 6.0. Common sense says the 4.8/5.3 has the same bore, but the 6.0 is a larger 4” bore. Ls engines are bore specific like most every thing Else. Don’t buy this kit for a 6 liter and get mad about the head gasket being to small for the bore. 22,000 mile update: I swapped in a summit pro ls cam, so now I’ve got some chop! The head gaskets are holding up fine. I pulled this truck out of a field on April 1, 2019, it had been setting up a decade with water in the oil from a blown head gasket (overheated). I bought this kit and some arp head bolts, had the heads rebuilt and slammed it back together. After lots of cleaning and replacing everything rubber, I love this truck! Another note: the idiot’s review below mine didn’t realize ls engines have two different generations of head bolts. Ignore his bad review! First generation has 8 much longer bolts (155mm) and fits 97-03, sometime mid 2003 they changed to all 10 main head bolts being the shorter 100mm length. This set is the first generation kit and is noted in the description.

Ended up snapping a head bolt because I was lazy and didn’t chase the threads so I had to remove the heads and buy parts store head gaskets. Between these head gaskets and felpro gaskets, you can’t even tell the difference. Packaging came nice and plate with multiple cardboard dividers to help keep all gaskets flap during shipping.

This kit has the long head bolt style ‘99-2002 LS. All the gaskets fit well and seem like good quality for the money. Layered head gasket, aluminum oil pan and T-chain case , etc gaskets. I’d buy it again for sure.

Kit worked just fine. Cannot speak for longevity but seems to be good quality gaskets except the intake gaskets the seemed very cheap and were bent from packaging. Didn't come with thermostat seal had to buy that myself. Also oil pick up tube orings weren't color coded I had to take my best guess by fitment. I guessed right since I have good oil pressure couple things to think of. In all was good buy imo.

I am not very happy with this set. The HEAD BOLTS were way too long. I can't make a return because I have had it too long. I have more time to work on my project now so I put my original bolts back and I am not happy about that so I am probably going to order head gaskets and bolts. DON'T CHEAP OUT AND BUY THIS KIT. I wasn't looking for high performance high horsepower upgrade I was only looking for a nice gasket and head bolt set for a lifter and oil pump replacement job. All I use from this kit was the head gaskets and the intake gasket. Because I already had everything else Fel-Pro. I probably am just going to order head bolts a new head gaskets and then the only thing I will have use from this set was the intake manifold gaskets and the steam Port o rings and gaskets.
