It looks good from a distance. It came intact and it lies flat. When you look at it up close though, it looks a bit flashy and cheap. The wires holding the "crystals" in place are thin and haphazard (not to mention a completely different color from the metal), so the crystals are slanted any which way. Likewise, where the metal circles are joined, it looks, let's just say, less than elegant. It seems like more of a special event purchase, so if you're going for a super shimmery Christmas display, this would be a real hit. If you're only looking to jazz up your living room, I'd put this up high where nobody would see it in detail. I got the smallest one (which is the perfect size for a tealight or a votive), but $11 seems expensive for what I received. It's still cute enough, but only if it's not the main attraction.

I was surprised at how nice this candle holder is in person. I was skeptical of the plastic "crystals" when I ordered it, but they are very clear and pretty. The overall size is larger than I expected, but the bottom base where the candle sits is sized for a tealight. It looks like a sparkly ball of big ice crystals to me; very wintry and festive. I will probably use it as a Christmas/winter decoration. (I did order a tall, stemmed version of this candle holder, but I returned it. The "chrome" on the stem and base was tacky and cheap looking, in addition to having a defective base).

This gold tea light holder is so beautiful. I loved it so much that I purchased 2 more lager candle items. When lit this holder shines and lights up like diamonds! But this design could be made better. Most tea lights candles are standard sized. But when you place one in the bottom of this holder it doesn't quite fit. The placement of large plastic diamond like stones kind of fill up the space needed for a good grounded fit. And whatever you do don't move it when lit! The holder will tip over because it was designed with 3 legs balls. It should of had 4 for sturdy balance. And when it tips over the candle wax will be stuck all over the diamonds rocks. How I was able to get the wax off was I took a pot of water almost at boiling temperature and dipped it a few times. Make sure the water is not boiling or you may melt the plastic diamond rocks. The wax of course melted off. Then I wiped it with a soft cloth. The saving grace is the metal will not rust. If the company would design this with 4 balls at the bottom this would resolve this problem. But it's still worth buying just don't move it around after a tea light is lit.

I thought I went wrong ordering size. It's just perfect. I like the thick trim it has on top. I saw others that did not have the top trim. They looked to flimsy. It's very sturdy but not heavy. I like the it with the trim. It's a beautifully detailed item. I posted sideby side this item and another item I bought without the trim on top. I like it better with trim. It's each and everyone's own taste.

The media could not be loaded. The rim of mine varies in height by 1/4-1/2 inch but I'm ok with it because it really is pretty. I marked it on one side so that I know how to turn it so that the difference is not too noticeable. I put a 4Wx6H inch clear, cylinder vase in it and burn 3Wx4H inch pillar candles. I'm happy with it over all. Very pretty.
