Sizing as a House Slipper I wear a Men's 9.5. As house shoes, I bumped the size up to a men's 11. That's right, as house slippers, adding 1.5 sizes up makes these snug fitting shoes feel just right for lounging around at home. This is my 2nd pair. I own a men's 9.5 and 11. The 11 I use at home. The tight 9.5 I use for plane travel and my customers' home offices where shoe removal is required. These pack away, nicely flat in my briefcase. For those who have requirements for removing your shoes at home, this is the one, and I highly recommend these over FitKicks. Construction vs. FitKicks I previously bought this at my true size, which the fit was tight. Even with the tight fitting size (the 9.5), these are holding nicely with no problems in the stitching. My black FitKicks have the tendency to rip easily at the seams near the toe, like many women's nylon stockings. Recently, even nicely repaired and sewn together, I ended up giving my 2 pairs of FitKicks away. Sole vs. FitKicks Compared to FitKicks, the sole on this 'house shoe' is much grippier and feel like zero-drop Vibram soles. Also, these rubber soles are whisper quiet. FitKicks have these cheap, slippery, plasticky soles that can have you clickity-clacking, noisily down the hall on wood flooring. FitKicks are also somewhat slippery to walk on. I haven't fallen yet on the FitKicks but they definitely feel like potential slip hazards. Tight at Your Normal Size Might Be Necessary Typically, most everyone in these reviews are using these aqua socks for their intended purposes - as aqua socks. At this point, I'd go right ahead and purchase these at your typical size. I took these with on a trip to Costa Rica and received quite a few compliments on how cute they are. I also found they are very nice in the sand and ocean and quite comfortable. However, it didn't get more stars because I've found it very difficult to get the sand out, the inserts are a bit hard to re-insert, and I found them to be slippery on some wet stones/ground. However, for the price, and if you know when and how to use them - they're a great little investment. I'll probably use them exclusively at the beach/pool and for that they are great. These are really cute and decent quality. I think they help a lot when we travel to more rocky beaches. They wash up okay and pack light. My only complaint is that they get sand in them pretty easy and that's a bit annoying. They also do not offer a lot of support so not great for walking a lot. They really only serve one purpose and that's to protect your feet on beaches with lots of rocks and/or shells. Worth it for what I needed and happy with the purchase. *After washing them, the color on the letters came off a bit but not the end of the world. If you hand wash and don't dry them, they will probably hold up a bit better. True to size. Fit more like a sock or those toe shoes. ... show more

I bought these to go to Iguazu falls a few weeks ago and they performed really well. i was a little worried about having to walk about 8 miles total in circuits in these flat water shoes but they performed really well. they dried out in about an hour, which is how long i took for a lunch break so thats a big plus since i didnt have to walk the entire time with wet feet. dont worry that they're flat and have no support as you'll be able to handle moderate walking at a steady pace without getting any pain. the only thing i recommend is that you order a size down. these are stretchy so they work well with people with wide feet like me, thats why i ordered a size up. but after seeing how stretchy the material is, i realized i should've ordered my actual size . ... show more

Got this for my husband for our vacation. He usually wears 10.5 shoes but said the fit is good as he didn't want it too loose. He didn't wear this until the 2nd day on our trip and when he did, he didn't even touch his other sandals. He says it is way more comfortable like ankle socks, kept the sand out (unlike flip flops where the sand is constantly rubbing against his skin around the thongs as he walked), way easier to walk/run on sand, and not worry getting poked when swimming in the ocean. The gift shop had similar ones with colorful designs (he liked the simple black) but they were more than $40. Get this instead! Not sure how long the fabric will last long-term. We don't vacay much and placed this in lost & found before we left for someone else to use. We will def buy again for our next beach getaway ... show more
