Bought these for my kids and within half an hour of wearing them they tore apart right in the middle of the water park. The sole thickness was okay, and the size was fine too, but the traction wasn't that great; they were slipping a bit. And foot protection? If they tear in half an hour, then there really isn't any. The reviews looked amazing which is why I picked them, but honestly after this I think a lot of them are fake. Really let down by the quality. These water shoes are excellent. My son loves them and they fit true to size. I recently started taking him to our local YMCA to go swimming in the pool. He absolutely loves it. But I wanted to get something to protect his feet in the locker room and showers. These do a wonderful job protecting his feet from whatever is on the nasty locker room floors. What I like about these is that he doesn't have to take them off at all walking around the locker room, he can wear them into the shower before and after swimming in the pool. So far we have gone a handful of times and they seem to be holding up well. I'm hoping to get at least 6 months out of them. And that's not just going to the pool with them.
