  • Great Display for non-scaled productivity at 2k.
Style: 32-Inch 1440p
This is a review of the 1440p (2k) Version There are basically 4 options for a 32-inch screen (non-ultrawide): 1. 1080p - too pixelated, and buttons are too big. 2. 1440p - good non-scaling/non-retina density ~93 ppi. 3. 4k - requires fractional scaling, costs more. 4. 6k - Apple's Pro Display, only problem: $5000+. I deliberately went with 1440p here to avoid scaling settings and I am enjoying using this monitor so far. My use cases are is studying (Mac) and work (Win 10). - Out-of-the-box settings need a little work: I use standard mode with 100% brightness and 100% sharpness. - Not the brightest, but adequate for indoors. - Settings navigation is a bit tough, but at least there are physical buttons. - Not a gaming monitor (75Hz only, no FreeSync). + 3-year warranty. + Good color (SDR) and uniformity. + Competitive price at 32 inches. + Amazing build quality with metal along all edges and on the stand. Bottom Line: Good productivity monitor if you want to avoid scaling issues in macOS and Windows. The 1440p resolution at 32 inches is about the same density as a 24" 1080p screen, meaning at 100% scaling, text is large enough in virtually every case. I like that I rarely need to use the zoom feature on apps. ... show more

  • Excellent home or office use "IPS 2K" monitor ... consider this alternative to "4K VA"
Style: 32-Inch 1440p
This is a nice quality monitor from Viewsonic. First off, I do not play video games, so my review pertains to home and office type use (MS Office, Web browsing, light duty photo editing, etc.). Having a 4K VA panel 32" monitor in the office, I can honestly say that this 2K IPS 32" monitor is a better value for the money. While I can still read text at the full 4K resolution, it is simply uncomfortable for a long time. A more pleasant resolution setting I use in the office is somewhere between 2K and 4K (more towards the 2K mark). Given that experience, I went for the 2K IPS monitor of the same 32" size at home. The IPS panel vs. VA is a whole lot better, esp. with text on the screen; the VA has some slight but noticeable artifacts with text where the IPS is simply clear. The resolution is comfortable and at this 32" size there is plenty of "real estate". So, if you are looking inside the $400 price range for a 32" monitor don't get fooled by 4K unless you are planning to watch 4K TV on it perhaps? For home/office use, the 2K IPS is not only cheaper (less than $300) but fits the bill much better. I did a lot of researching and then, at work, I was able to get the 32" 4K VA panel monitor and, to be honest, it is a disappointing experience for office use; I do not run the full 4K resolution and the VA quality just is not as good as the IPS panel. Having the 32" 2K IPS (this Viewsonic) at home and given my experience with it, I would have requested the same for the office if I had to do it again. So, while 4K is good for some things for others 2K is preferable in my experience. If you get a chance to compare monitors in this price range for home/office use, you may find the same. Viewsonic is also a top notch brand with a 3 yr warranty. This particular model also has the frameless edge. Not only is the picture quality excellent but the monitor has a nice high quality look. ... show more

  • Thin bezel. Lightweight. VESA mounts. 2k for a good price. Low glare matte finish.
Style: 32-Inch 1440p
I got this to use with a monitor arm. (dual monitor arm) It works great. A lot of monitors do not come with VESA mounts on them and some are heavy. This one is really light for how big it is. No dead pixels, good picture. It has a matte finish which is good for keeping the glare down. To me 4k isn't necessary, it is not going to be used for gaming. If I had to find something to complain about, the controls are easy to touch when I adjust the position. (the backside of the lower right side) I don't have a better location for them though lol. The price was good. The Viewsonic brand has always been a brand that I liked. I don't know much about the base that was included because I didn't even try it. Mounted it up the arm right away. BTW mounting to the VESA plate was easy but it looked like it was going to be an issue. The piece of metal that connects to the base was protruding a little. I just ignored it and put on the plate. It took care of itself when I pushed the bracket on. ... show more

  • Great bang for your buck
Style: 32-Inch 1440p
5-Star Review I couldn’t be happier with this ViewSonic monitor! The picture quality is outstanding—everything is crisp, vibrant, and crystal clear. The size is perfect, offering plenty of screen real estate without overwhelming my desk space. One feature I really appreciate is the ability to adjust the picture settings. It’s easy to tweak the brightness, contrast, and color temperature, which makes a huge difference for long work sessions or late-night use. My eyes don’t feel nearly as strained as they used to with my old monitor. If you’re looking for a high-quality, versatile monitor, this one is definitely worth it! ... show more

  • Works great but had one die after the three year warranty.
Style: 32-Inch 1440p
When I started working from home permanently, I bought two of these for my home office. When I originally purchased them, they were about $50 more than they are now. So the price now is much better. However, right after my three year warranty ended, one of them all of a sudden has an issue with the backlight on half of the screen. It basically just turned off, so the text is very hard to read on that side of the screen. The second monitor is fine and still is very bright. The resolution is MUCH better than 1080p. I can fit so much more on my screen. However, for presentations, I do have to zoom the screen for my remote viewers with 1080p screens or it will be too small for them to read. The speakers are better with DisplayPort vs. HDMI, but they still aren't that powerful. I've also found that with the HDMI connection, I get some color tearing and/or granulating. It went away once I switched to DisplayPort. Overall the build quality is OK. Not great, not bad. Just in the middle. But at least it has a three year warranty! ... show more
