Biggest problem I have with most 4K panels is that they're almost always a 27", which leaves a rather aggressive pixel pitch for the viewer. My eyes are starting to go, and I didn't want to rely on being a nearsighted user to be able to make up for it, I really hate taking my glasses off and on to be able to use a screen. The extra 5" of room really makes a big difference, as it's possible to see everything at a comfortable viewing distance and maintaining proper posture while doing things like typing. This review, for example. The color is good, and manages the space listed in the docs well, having little distortion horizontally and vertically. The VESA 100 mounting points make it easy to fit on an arm, and it now floats nicely above my desk, dead-on at the correct height. I get good results with the USB-C connection back to my mac mini, and while it's not the best for gaming, only supporting the 60Hz refresh rate, the level of ghosting is extremely small, if not unnoticeable. All in all I'm completely pleased with this monitor, and the value is simply unmatched. ... show more

Works perfectly with my M3 MacBook Air 15”. The USB-C cable that comes with the monitor connects to the Thunderbolt connection. I only needed to change the resolution to its highest setting since the Mac defaults to a lower one. I love that the controls for the monitor are on the front and not hidden underneath or on the back. I also like that the connections to the monitor plug in facing downward instead of at a 90 degree angle out the back. The USB-C cable does transmit the sound through it to the monitor, however doing this does not allow me to use the volume keys on the Mac to adjust the sound, so I do not use the built in speakers. I had been using an LG 4K IPS superfine computer monitor for 6 years and it started getting a halo around the edges of the screen. I paid $700 for it at the time. I see they have gone downhill from their recent ratings, so I gave this Viewsonic 4K IPS / USB-C (presumably thunderbolt port compatible on my Mac Mini) and after many many combinations of brighness / contrast / temperature manipulations as well as choosing a monitor setting on my Mac (from 10 or more settings), I finally have it dialed in to exactly where my pricey LG was. I have bought ViewSonic before, and it has been a reliable brand for going on 20 years ?? And for about $330 the price was great. Highly recommend. Let's see if it lasts longer than the LG, but that will take years. ... show more

ONE STAR. Does not work with the HDMI cable. Spent 2 days trying everything, going into settings on the monitor and imac mini pro, monitor still black. It does work when connected via USB-C cable but I don't want to sacrifice a USB-C port to run the monitor since it has an HDMI port. Maybe I got a lemon.
