    • Amazing upgrade for my battle station
While looking for a monitor to replace my 27" that kept deciding when it felt like powering on, I landed on this gem. It was on sale, had decent specs, was curved, and 32", so an upgrade in size too. So I got it, cause you know what? I deserve it, cause I work hard, and I need it to play harder. So, it arrived. It was packed well and felt solid coming out of the box. I didn't need the mount and base since I was attaching it to my 3-monitor floating stand. Which it mounted to like a champ. Tho, I underestimated how big a 32" monitor would be on that stand and I had to turn my other 2 22" widescreen monitors 90 degrees to allow it to fit. Totally worth it. So got it setup and connected to my pc fine. Windows 11 detected it as a generic monitor, which is initially fine so I can see it. I did download and install the drivers so it showed up as the correct brand, since I was hoping to use the AMD ActiveSync with it. Which, didn't work out the box. After feeling sad for a couple minutes because the AMD software didn't detect the feature on it, I did some research. Found out that you have to manually enable the feature on the monitor's menu before the video card can detect it. Kinda weird it wouldn't come natively active, but it's working now, and my tears have dried, so I'm good. Loaded up my fav shooter game, with the military guys, and other players that seem to get ahold of wall hacks the day it's released. You know the one.. don't act like you don't. Man.. it was like a new game. I still died a lot, but it looked amazing when I did. I'm pretty sure it helped me kill a couple more people then the old monitor since I could see it bigger and it was a bit clearer. I'm still confident lag is my downfall tho. Yea, that's totally it. The curvature is helpful when I've got 3 monitors lined up. In hindsight perhaps I should have gone with one gargantuan monitor but that would have been much more expensive. Overall....I continue to be very satisfied with ViewSonic products. Granted I'm not a gamer really so my requirements are lighter than some, but they work great for office use and last a while. I have bought in excess of 30 (likely more) of their monitors, stretching back to a 21" CRT (when that was a big deal...in the 1800's I think) and am not sure I've ever replaced one due to failure. ... show more

    • Both units arrived broken
I ordered 2 units and both of the joy sticks were broken when they arrived. So no way to adjust anything. I just plugged them in and they work great with windows 10 or 11 once they come on. They will not show the boot screen on post. I also can't get them to boot in Linux very well. I have a duel boot system and without the boot screen I have to have an second smaller monitor hooked up to see the boot screen. Demesg shows the drivers are there and syncing just not coming on from a black screen. I also use display port to display port and the cord that came with them. Might need to try DP to HDMI. Very good color and brightness and very happy once they come on. I don't think I am going to send them back until I get a DP to HDMI cord to try. Update 12/20/2022 : Ordered a 4K DP to HDMI cord and it will not work. Viewsonic has no drivers listed for Linux and looks like they won't ever. ... show more
