We made this change without any regret, because indeed while LG panels are of good quality, on the electronic side it’s a guaranteed disaster, with color calibration being impossible and causing eye strain with each use. At best, the LG 32QN600-B will serve as a fairly average screen for office work and suffers from excessive power consumption, whereas the generous Viewsonic VA3456 MHDj34 34-inch consumes only 43w… Barely installed, immediately tested, the result is simply amazing with a display of 3440X1440 at 60hz; the quality is remarkable, the screen being matte, it’s almost like looking at a piece of paper, which is a win for the eyes. The panel allows for photographic work or video editing; even more surprising, after a driver update search, a new driver version is proposed, just needing to recalibrate which is very easily done from our Nvidia card application. 34 inches may seem large, but from my point of view for photographic work where you often need to zoom in to spot certain defects, up to 40 inches is not a luxury, just the bare minimum. Gaming enthusiasts who prefer the flashy aspect of glossy screens will pass on this, as with a 60hz refresh rate, it’s not sufficient for gaming anyway compared to the LG 32QN600-B (IPS). The audio output is also of very high quality, allowing us to pass the audio from our computer to a large mixing table at maximum quality, which was not the case with the LG screen whose audio electronics were questionable. The only downside from my point of view is the menus are very difficult to navigate; you just need to pay attention to the color calibration. It’s best to manually adjust each step if you’re a professional in the field, with a bit of tweaking, you’ll achieve more than satisfactory results. What’s important for professionals is to have deep blacks and whites that don’t lean towards red, blue, or green. Here everything is perfectly clean, to the point that I’m considering using this screen for my black and white photos in the long run because the image processing on this side is remarkable. This screen is almost too good for office work and less straightforward to manage than a graphics screen; however, once properly adjusted, which will take some time initially, you won’t regret it. Only Benq and Eizo offer higher quality screens, but at much higher prices, so this is a very good compromise that will even suit demanding professionals who will have in their hands a screen that will allow them to manage their large format printing on fine art paper without any problem.

I've only played indie games on this monitor so i can't comment on how it functions for bigger triple-A titles. But for general use, this monitor is awesome. The added screen space helps organize all the windows i need open, albeit i still need a second monitor at times. Colors are rich and vibrant. Monitor settings are bit bright though so i had to adjust its settings.

July 15, 2022 OK, I just got this monitor. I read all the reviews, not sure where the problems are with the ones who gave bad reviews. I do not use this for gaming, I have another setup for that. I set this up with display port, NVIDIA 1070Ti video card. The screen is amazing. I don't usually have my browser full screen, but i did to see if the text was clear, I have old eyes (73) and it was as clear as on my 24" monitor. I watched a video on the History channel and was very satisfied. Only reason I did not go 5 stars, and if you could do half stars, I would give it 4.5 stars. Any way only reason for 4 stars is the controls on the back. Hard to know which is which and when using them the whole unit shakes. If anything comes up in the future I will update this review, but for now I highly recommend it. Great value for the price. Update: Only one day later, found dead pixel in the middle of the screen. Returning for same model, hoping for no dead pixels this time. Return procedure was very good. Not getting replacement till Thursday July 21st. Not extremely happy about that, but can't do anything about it. Update: Replacement monitor also has dead pixel. Going for number 3.

I went back and forth but I bought this because I love the ViewSonic monitors they have great color and resolution. I do graphic and web design and shows this carefully because it's resolution is such that things will be smaller. But you get a heck of a lot of real estate in screen space.

The buttons on the monitor broke on their own. They weren't even used. After a month of usage, it seems like the lower volume button continually presses and causes the lower volume icon to get stuck on the screen. Out of my Amazon return period, so now I will have to go through their customer service.

Update 11/2022: Windows 10 no longer recognizes this monitor as supporting HDR. Not a big loss as it did not look right anyways. Upgraded from a Viewsonic 60hz ips 21.5" monitor, and this thing is huge. Overall: Really like this monitor. Awesome for multitasking, and image quality is very good. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a 34" ips ultrawide at a reasonable price. Pros: Good gray uniformity. Blacks are deeper than my old monitor. Minimal eye strain (Viewsonic is great at this) Nice color reproduction (can't really tell the difference between 6-bit and 8-bit+frc though) 1 dead pixel; but, barely noticeable. Huge, lots of space to work with; great for work. Good enough for gaming, ips panels are nice; just make your your graphics card can handle it. I had to lower settings. However, this won't satisfy people who want high refresh rates (maxes out at 75hz). Neutral: Speakers are nice; better than standard monitor speakers; but, lacking the lower frequencies. Height and tilt adjustment are nice, not much to say there. I was unable to overclock the monitor; stuck at 75hz. Not a big fan of having only 4 tiny screws to attach the monitor to the stand; it is stable; but, not sure how sturdy it will be. HDR mode is not that great; enabling make blacks grayish; but, does boost the brightness. Cons: Agree with the previous reviewer; the menu and buttons are super annoying to use. There are too many buttons, and combinations needed to get to what you need. There is a little backlight bleed; but, not too bad Notes: if you are running Windows, get PowerToys for FancyZones to create custom regions to snap windows to.
