  • If you've never had a high refresh monitor, this is a great starting point.
Size: 27 inch Style: 1080p 240Hz
For the Money, its an incredible monitor, I'd been using a 24 inch 720p 60hz tv, and this is like a whole nother level, the speakers are okay, but the monitor is cheap enough to get some real speakers, I noticed an actual difference in how I'm playing games now, high refresh rates do help. Oh and it comes with an 8k (for the data bandwidth needed for the refresh rate) dp cable that would probably cost like 20 30 bucks from a local store, so nice little bonus. ... show more

  • Displays well (its deficient mechanical-build quality notwithstanding).
Size: 27 inch Style: 1080p 240Hz
I tend to use multiple apps and websites together. My wife needed the 24 inch monitor that I've used for years in combination with an old 17 inch low-resolution VGA monitor. I fortuitously replaced those two monitors with a 34 inch LG QHD monitor and, subsequently, this Viewedge 27 inch FHD monitor. So far I'm very happy with the performance of this Viewedge monitor. Its color rendering is almost identical to that of the LG 34 inch monitor (neglecting resolution differences), as shown in the attached screenshot pair. In fact, the Viewedge image arguably may 'pop' slightly more. These two monitors together, side-by-side, make a good combination for my multi-app, multi-site visual multitasking. I'm not a gamer, so I've not needed to subjectively use and evaluate the advertised high-refresh-rate of this Viewedge monitor. However, when I checked the refresh rate objectively, using the online utility 'FPS Test', I found it operating at 60 Hz. After checking further in the advanced display settings of my Windows 11 PC, I found that the monitor had indeed been set to 60 Hz at the factory — BUT that I could specify a refresh rate as high as 240 Hz. After doing that and again checking the monitor using 'FPS Test', I verified that it indeed performed at 240 Hz — the seller's claimed refresh rate. My only complaints concern the mechanical build of the monitor. Except for a small metal plate, the monitor's stand is all plastic. I was initially unable to assemble the stand, because plastic mold flash blocked the insertion of the monitor's column into its base. I ultimately had to use a rubber mallet to force the column into the base, thereby breaking off the plastic mold flash, probably having been left on the product due to deficient mechanical QC. Moreover, the screen does not pivot on its base, nor is the height of the screen adjustable. For MY purposes, the monitor's mechanical deficiencies do not detract from its good performance. They have not ultimately hindered MY usage of the monitor. However, I unambiguously need to subtract one star from my rating because of the mechanical issues. ... show more

  • Good screen for good deal!

There is no way to make the screen brighter. There are no buttons to change brightness on the screen. However, the screen is really good and clear.

  • High refresh rate at a good value
Size: 27 inch Style: 1080p 240Hz
If you need a high refresh rate 1080 monitor and you want it for a good value, this is what you're looking for. Let's start with the concessions. The speakers aren't great, but if you care about sound, you're not going to be using monitor speakers anyway. I guess it's nice to have them if you need a little audio in a pinch. The stand is pretty cheap but it works. If you want something nice or sturdy you're probably already planning on using some kind of vesa mount anyways. And 1080 in 2025? Even though it's probably not the resolution you want for productivity, depending on your hardware, it might be the resolution that you need for gaming. Either way, all of that stuff isn't terribly relevant. So now to the important stuff. It's a cheap 27" monitor with a 240hz refresh rate. I remember when you'd have to drop a grand to get something like that, or play the lottery importing a foreign monitor from a factory you've never heard of in south east asia. The image looks nice and crisp, it looks bright, the colors looks good, no dead or busted pixels. In my opinion, 27" is the sweet spot for a main monitor if high refresh rate is what you need. Those ultra-wides and high resolution monitors are great for all that extra productivity space, but that's not why you buy a high refresh rate monitor. You get one because you want games to render super fast to give you a competitive edge. And unless you're dropping thousands on brand new top of the line hardware (in which case you probably aren't concerned with looking in this range for a monitor anyway), your machine won't be rendering enough frames per second on anything worth playing to make use of that on a higher resolution. So this really is the sweet spot for a solid value monitor that pushes the envelope on refresh rate. ... show more
