Very little resistance if any on the stroke again due to the very sharp blade. Makes peeling fruit seamless and effortless. Definitely the best peeler I've ever owned! Since it is serrated, I can see why it is made especially to peel tomatoes, pepperoni and kiwi. So, when I peeled an apple, the surface wasn't smooth. But, it takes so little peel off and so easy to use, this isn't a negative, in my opinion. Definitely recommend this peeler. ... show more

Super sharp blade. Designed “especially for tomatoes, pepperoni, and kiwi”, which I don’t recollect having been mentioned in the listing. I never peel tomatoes or pepperoni, and we don’t eat kiwi, so I hope it will work for taters and cucumber, etc. If not, I will update this review.

I bought this several months ago and was impressed when I got it. I waited to review it so I could see if it held up over time (I've had some that started out sharp, but got dull in a short time). This one is still peeling as well as it did the day I got it. Very easy to use, sharp, and peels a nice thin strip so you don't lose too much of the vegetable you are peeling. I use it mostly for carrots and potatoes and highly recommend it! (and I love the bright orange color!) ... show more

This is super sharp and stays that way. I’ve had to replace mine several times as it has a tendency to “walk away” if I don’t keep an eye on it.
