  • Get what you pay for (in a good way)
Size: 10 Color: Black
This is the 5th pair of shoes that I had ordered during my mission to find the perfect river shoes for kayaking and other water activities. Initially I was looking in the $25-$40 range. I tried two pairs of strappy sandalls and two pairs of mesh river shoes with toe indentations. I was hoping I could find a cheaper alternative to the Vibrams that I knew were great but I had no such luck. All four of the previous pairs that I received had issues with fit and comfort so I ended up returning them all. Folks, this is it. These shoes are amazing. I know the price tag is a bit steep but you get what you pay for. I usually wear size 11 shoes but I knew that I wanted these to be snug and read reviews which recommended sizing down so I went with the 9.5-10 size and ooooh baby, they fit like a glove. There is no uncomfortable rubbing anywhere, especially on the back of the ankle which is a concern that I had. I even got a bad abrasion on my small toe from going for a walk in my vans without socks. This happened the day that these Vibrams arrived and I was worried that my toe going into the toe pocket would rub on it as I walked and cause me pain but I don't even notice it. they are seriously comfortable. Some reviewers have mentioned the ankle strap not having enough velcro to tighten them to their liking and I agree that it could be extended just a little more but the strap that goes over the foot is plenty to secure the shoe. I put this to the test. During my first kayak outing my friend and I stopped at the side of the river and when we stepped out of our boats we immediately sank shin deep into the mud. Alarm bells immediately went off in my head because I had read reviews about the shoes being insecure and coming off. I didn't want to lose one of my brand new shoes but I had no choice. I had to get my foot unstuck. Well I finally got my foot free of the mud and the shoe didn't budge at all I walked in the mud a bit more and felt totally confident that the shoes were secure. I also read a review about concerns of the black shoes getting too hot. I don't know where that person lives or how hot it is but I have gone on multiple 20-30 minute walks on paved trails in 95-100 degree weather and they get a little warm but nowhere close to the point of being unable to wear them. Maybe they just have sensitive feet. The only question remaining is whether they will hold up over time. I saw some reviews that concerned me but as I said I have owned Vibrams before and they endured a lot of abuse before finally biting the dust (probably due to my own negligence) so I am optimistic that if I take care of these they are going to last. TLDR: Buy once, cry once. Shell out the extra money for these over a cheaper alternative. Order one size down. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Good soles, needs adjustments
Size: 12 Color: Blue/Black
This would be better if the pinky toe wasn’t so far forward. Sometimes the pinky toes slips out. Might not for more squared toes. Definitely needs better heel strap adjustment. They run a little big, so having a strap with full velcros to be able to tighten up more than just a little would be better. ... show more

  • Break em in and enjoy em!
Size: 11 Color: Black
These are quite possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn! I've got bipedal plantar fasciitis and I thoroughly enjoy wearing these shoes all day. Follow the recommended break-in process included in the directions, then get ready for boat loads of compliments and questions as you get comfortable both wearing them and being seen in them! I came back to order a couple more pairs in different colors and figured I'd leave a review real quick. I gave em a 4 because they get a bit smelly kinda quick, but you can just give em a quick wash whenever you need to. I work waterside most days, and they tend to get wet, so I get it. But if a 5 is perfect, perfect they are not. But what they are is really really really great! Just get a pair already, your curiosity has led you this far! ... show more

  • Top fabric is fragile and rips.
Size: 10.5 Color: Grey
Tough to get on but works well. Not durable.

  • good produce
Size: 10.5 Color: Grey
The sizing is a little off. I am a 10.5/11 depending on the shoe manufacturer, so I ordered the 10.5/11. It is quite tight. Not so tight that I am returning it, but if I ever buy in the future, I will buy a larger size. The sole is not as thick as I thought it should be. Overall, a nice water shoe that I would purchase again (just in a larger size). ... show more

  • Disappointed in this design
Size: 9 Color: Black/Light Blue
Pros: its lightweight and I love being able to throw them in the wash as needed. I am a all around vibram fan. Cons: the rubber rectangles on the inside of the shoe that are supposed to help keep the shoe in place sticks to my skin and makes red marks which is an uncomfortable feeling. The marks go away after a bit but I find I have to stick my finger under the material and pull up to unstick it from my skin quite often. It seems really unnecessary to have them there. It also can cause a wrinkle/bubble in the material so it doesn't always lay flat on my skin. Neutrals: I don't feel like I care about the holes that are in the soles for water drainage. Another unnecessary feature?? I haven't had issues with pebbles getting in like some of the other reviewers. I don't always wear these as water shoes so slightly irritating that you walk on any wet surface and you're sure to get wet feet. All in all I would not recommend this particular design. I got this one since it seemed similar to my last pair that they discontinued and was a little less $$ then some of the other options. I Loved my last pair so this added to my disappointment. I've since got another pair and still a little short from the discontinued one but a step up from this aqua walking shoe. ... show more

  • Quality and comfort
Size: 10.5 Color: Grey
These shoes runs small I hardle ever run into issues where a 10.5 didn't fit. I am 5,9' and 160lbs. My toes was jamed to the front. I reordered and 11 to 11.5 and they fited alot better.
