Very good price for this kit! Seems like a decent quality router for light to medium duty DIY projects. Plastic housing might not hold up under heavy or commercial usage. Runs true. Easy to adjust and swap out bases. Recommend for home DIY use!

This is a good little router. I bought it because I was broke, and I needed to have a router with some capabilities for a project that I was working on. It has performed like any other more expensive router. I don't see a difference. It is an awesome products. Buyer beware. This is without a doubt the most dangerous piece of equipment I have ever purchased. Received it today and returned it today. Opened it up and the accompanying manual appeared to be written for a different router. Got a scrap piece of wood to try it out. Inserted a small round over bit and got ready to see how well it worked. Turn it on and it immediately threw the bit. It shattered the plexiglass in the base, with a piece hitting me in the eyebrow, causing a cut which took my wife three or four minutes to stop bleeding. Of course, I got sucked in because of the price, so according to my wife it's my own fault. I have been woodworking for 45 years and have never had a piece of equipment attack me right out of the box. I would encourage everyone to stay away from this brand. If you already have one of these, I hope you can replace it as soon as you can. If you have kids, please keep them out of the shop if you must use it. ... show more

The router and standard base seem to work ok enough. Unfortunately the plunger base is broken, the little black knob on the bepth stop adjustment is broken making the depth stop unusable out of the box. Might be able to find a nut or something to lock the plunder in place and it will work again. Should be fine for lite use or lots of shallow passes on larger cuts, at least for a while. Also it comes with extra brushes for the motor, be careful not to lose them in case you actually need them. ... show more

I was excited to receive this because I wanted a trim router plunge base. I did not even plug the router in because I went straight to the plunge base but, the motor housing was so tight in the fixed base that I could not remove it. I tried a few things to free it up and couldn't get it so before I broke anything I packaged it up and returned it the following day. I wasn't expecting the quality of a 300.00 unit but for crying out loud I wanted to at least try it to see if it would do my piddly non close tolerance project. ... show more

This palm router is solid. It came with so many accessories, an angled base, the plunge base (which worked flawlessly) and the standard base. It also came with edge guide and 3 nice router bits, and some really nuce dust collection attachments.. i was.very surprised. This thing is built very well, all the bases are heavy and solid not cheap plastic or PVC like other brands. For the price this is amazing. I already had 4 different routers and this is my 5th and so far it's my favorite. It's even beats out the more expensive big well known named routers I have. I used it today with a different base plate to use with my Milescraft sign making kit. It handled the job great, easy to use and maneuver, buzzed through black walnut like it was butter. I own a woodworking shop and this router has earned its place at the table and will be my go to machine when I need a trim router. Don't hesitate in buying, this thing is FANTASTIC !! ... show more
