The spikes work well once you adjust the height (requires the included allen wrench and a 10mm box wrench or pliers). The spikes are shipped short to save costs, you will almost certainly need to adjust the height. The straps still dug into my leg. I had folded washcloths under them and my leg was pretty red after 2 hours in a tree. The spikes held me well on a big oak, slipping only when I didn't stab the tree hard enough. The harness is pretty good, no complaints. I didn't use the lanyard since it's not adjustable and I bought a better one (and I got a separate lifeline, carabiners and a prusik) Instructions are in actual english and make sense. ... show more

Works great but beware of your spikes going in to deep and having to pull your leg out with all your force.

So needs better straps by ankle. Nothing worse than 30 ft on a tree and boot slips out because the strap cant be tightened any more around your ankle. Recommend adding a velcro heavy duty strap as a backup around ankle and ware a boot with high heel.
