So the best part of this toolbox is the sliders for the drawers, they are smooth and have a detent to “pop” closed so they won’t open accidentally. The drawers feel sturdy enough and they open all the way out so you don’t have to fish around for the last inch that you can’t see like some other boxes. The latch that locks the drawers when the top lid is down works smoothly too. It’s also a very good value for what you get. That said, it is made of pretty thin metal and the drawers feel sturdy liners are thin as well. My copy came with the top lid just slightly misaligned, not enough to stop it from closing but you can feel the edges of the lid overhanging the left side and on the right side you can feel the bottom lip. Not a huge deal but if you want perfection, you’ll need to pay a bit more. The handle on top works well but it is just hard plastic and feels exactly like you’d imagine. Overall these toolbox would be great for stationary use in a garage. I am not sure it would hold up to mobile field use due to the thin walls. For the money it’s still a good deal as long as you know what you’re getting.

This box is already in use at my workbench, storing all the bits and pieces associated with a 3018 CNC router. The box is solidly constructed of steel with a nice finish. No sharp edges found to this point. The drawers have bearings that glide smoothly and cleanly. The drawer liners minimize sliding of the bits as I open and close the drawers. The drawers have a "latch" point when closed that prevents opening unless the top lid is open. UNLESS you don't latch them in place, which can also be convenient. Sitting on the lower shelf of my workbench, it is handy to slide the drawers open without opening the top, to minimze sawdust getting in the box. (I've also used this to keep one drawer "accessible" to minimize fumbling.) But if/when it's time to reposition the box, open the lid, push the drawers firmly into place, and close the lid. The drawers are deep enough to store most hand tools. My initial planned use was in the back of our ATV. But the box is so nicely finished (and heavy!) that I really don't want it bouncing around back there. Handles all seem to be strong and securely fastened. Really nice toolbox...

This toolbox has four drawers and a top tray/area. The drawers lock in when the top is closed so you don’t spill your trays. They all have a layer of foam in them. The drawer glides are nice and smooth and the finish is good. My only complaint is that the handle being riveted into the lid seems not so sturdy. I’m worried that this box will be loaded down with tools and the handle will break when carrying it, spilling tools all over the ground. I feel like it needs a stiffener bar added in the lid to support the mounting of the handle a little better. For now, I’ll just leave it in place as a workbench toolbox, so I don’t need to carry it around.

Was this built by 7 year olds in China? Be very careful with thing it’s fragile. It’s worth about 1/4 of the price. The drawers don’t slide out smoothly at all. And make sure you pull the drawers out straight otherwise they will just twist and bind up.

This mini toolchest comes in a brown corrugated cardboard box with basic product information printed on it, thoroughly taped shut, with two snug-fitting white styrofoam inserts, which provided good protection. An instructions booklet was included. Stick-on feet are also provided, in a ziplock bag inside one of the drawers; be careful when peeling off the paper backings to install them, as the adhesive layer might try to peel off with the paper instead of staying on the foot. The red powder-coated finish looks great, though I did have to clean some gunk off the outside. Black EVA foam drawer liners are included for each drawer, and fit well once patted into place. The drawers (and the whole unit) are smaller than most other mini toolboxes, but there are more drawers in this 5-drawer 'bottom chest'-style version than in most others, and these are still large enough for pens/pencils/markers or small screwdrivers/bits. The Vevor ball-bearing drawer slides don't roll quite as smoothly as a US General mini toolbox, but much better than the non-ball-bearing Kobalt ones. The Vevor drawers are held shut with magnets (like US General's are), and the magnets are strong enough that the drawers stay closed even if you turn the toolchest on its side with the drawers facing down in midair.

I was surprised at the quality of this product! Although the product is portable I would suggest that its best place would be on top of your work bench - That's where mine is! Seriously, this tool box has some weight to it empty so full it would be HEAVY. The box has a very nice finish and trim. The three drawers operate easily and smoothly due to the bearing slides. Each storage area has a soft non-skid pad to protect the box and tools. When the top is closed fully the slide drawers will not open to offer tool security if you install a small padlock (not included). This tool box is in par with many other well known brands - Totally recommend!

This toolbox was great to keep my wife's stuff organized. It seems well built and sturdy enough for everyday use. The only exception is the handle which def will not hold up if you carry it around a lot and have a bunch in it. The drawers are very small high wise but decently deep. This limits quite a bit what you can put in it so be aware. The locking feature surprised me and we tried really hard to open a drawer before figuring that out lol and it held up great to the tugging and pulling.
