Friends and family wanted some shade when out in the flats boat. Normally not a fan of Bimini Tops because they get in the way of fishing and get into the backcountry. I needed a top that was big enough and tall enough. The Vevor Bimini Top checked all the boxes at a very reasonable price. I got the the 4 bow 8' L x 54" H that would fit a beam of 79"-84". The assembly is fairly easy. It does take two people because the size and awkwardness. Biggest hassle is removing all the plastic film protecting the aluminum poles. That alone took over an hour. To make it worse, the static cling causes the plastic to stick to your fingers. Once all the plastic as removed, we moved all the pieces to a large area were we could put it together. They label the left and right sides to help in assembling. That's where we found the only issue.....the kit had two mid bows that were exactly the same (instead of being a right and left one). Since the fix was simple, we did not contact the company, but simply removed the spring clip button, drill the same size whole straight through and replaced the spring clip button 180 degrees (see pic). Installing it on the boat, really needs three people (two to hold and one to workout the exact location. Once you know where you want it, its easy from there. They include all the hardware you need to install it. I wanted the ability to quick remove it without having to remove screws and have protruding hinges sticking up, so I purchased stainless quick release hinges (see pic). When the top is not on, its a simple raised smooth base. I like that you get everything you need for normal installation, that it comes with a storage boot and sun side screens. I am leaving the side screens off for now to facilitate fishing, but will use them when just boating. I also like the back support, which for me, keeps it off the leaning post or having to lay it down on the fore deck. Though it was not a big deal, some may not know how to resolve the wrong mid bow issue.

I'll come back and repost pics when I get back to the boat again. It's out of the water for the season and stored, but this is going to be a game changer for summer boating. The challenge I had was figuring out how to get it to work with my wakeboard tower. The top of the tower sits slightly above the height of the bimini cover and it needed some modifications to a few things which took quite some time to figure out, but it works good now. That being said, none of that is a reflection on the product. The canvas material is quality and the aluminum framing is sturdy. This is a nice, long cover so it shades a good part of the rear seats, but leaves room to get some sun up in the bow.

This top has good quality materials. The top fabric and the aluminum tubing is substantially heavier gauge than my previous top. Assembly took a while, and most of the time spent was removing the protective plastic film from the tubing pieces. After putting it all together and attaching it to my boat, I realized that I ordered a size that was too tall and should’ve gone with a 46” height instead. Nevertheless, this is a good quality product!

This is a nice quality Bimini top for our pontoon boat. It fits good on the boat and was easy to install. I think it only took me about 2 hrs start to finish. I was able to roll up the side shade nettings and zip inside the cover as well. Great Bimini top for the price.

This Bimini top comes super well packaged. All hardware in its own box, all poles organized and zip-tied in right and left sides. It takes about 5 minutes to assemble the frame. you will need two people to mount it to your boat or be extremely careful on figuring out where to mount the brackets. I recommend this Bimini to anyone needing to upgrade on their current boat or pontoon. This one is a breeze.
