I gave this to my son for his birthday. When I first received the chain I thought it was beautiful and it looked very high quality. I got the 4mm in 24". I wish I had got the 3mm in 26". The 24" BARELY goes over my head without opening it. But it does. The 4MM size looks a little large for my 2 inch hammered bronze Knights Templar cross. And it BARELY fit through the small loop on the back of the cross. But it did. The appearance and shine of the chain is spectacular. There is no debate over that. Wow! My only gripe is that I will have to pay a jeweler to silver solder the ring that attaches to the clasp. It enlarged and my whole chain dropped off. Thankfully in my bedroom where the whole thing did not get lost. I reassembled it and squeezed it shut, but can never trust the link until I get it silver soldered for hopefully $20. A drop of super glue might work, but I want if VERY secure, so I will have it done properly. Therefor, realize this will be a mandatory ADDED expense for anyone buying this chain who wants to make it secure. It is not IF the link will open, it is a matter of WHEN it will open. It should have been soldered by the maker. So.... minus one star. Minus 1.5 stars if it ends up costing me more than $20 to have soldered! I will edit my review to let you all know the final price. ... show more
