I absolutely love love LOVE these. I have eaten these most of my life, I usually buy a bulk of them in Mexico and take them home, and eat from that. However I recently ran out, and without a trip to Mexico planned for anytime soon, I needed to satisfy my craving. I searched many stores and I could only find knockoff brands, none of which had the distinct "wet" chili on it. This chili is unique in that it's not necessarily a thin layer of powder like the mango ones--like, most chili lollipops are wet and then dipped into dry chili powder. This one is almost a chunky chili that makes me believe that the lollipop was dry and dipped into a "wet chili" and then left to dry. That's why some of the wrappers stick to the candy--because it didn't dry properly. To me, the sticking is pretty normal and not out of ordinary. But I can't get enough of this chunky chili layer and often times I'll just eat that layer and throw the lollipop away since the center is too sweet, like a watermelon jolly rancher. But no other candy has this type of chili so I'll just keep eating these. I think that's been my only gripe about the candy--the ratio of chili to sweet candy is too unbalanced.

I have been obsessed with these Mexican candies since I was a kid growing up in Southern California and we would buy them from the ice cream man for 10 cents each. Since living in the NW, it's been so hard to find them, especially the ones I remember as a kid. There are plenty of knock-offs where the chili is very dry and doesn't have the perfect combo of spicy, sweet, and tangy. These are the ones I remember as a kid! Sooooo delicious! I will probably eat all 40 in a week. For those of you who have never eaten these, you probably won't like them or be worried about how they look: the chili is a little sticky to the bag (normal), look like they have partially melted (normal), there is some chili on the stick (normal). But if you have the same found memories of these candies that I do, you will not be disappointed and your like will be forever positively changed.

These things might as well be crack candy. I’ve got a problem, in that I can’t only eat 1 and now must eat them secretly so not to be judged. WARNING: these are not your typical candy. They are intensely salty and limey upfront (I do not really taste any of the chili), and if you’re an avid lover of all things acidic then you can understand the obsession with these lollipops. The watermelon candy underneath the coating is also delicious and not sweet at all. More of a tangy melon flavored hard candy to finish off this amazing experience. I can’t believe it took me decades to discover these. Worth a try if you’re someone like me that used to think warheads were the best.

Vendor needs to make sure they’re checking the expiration dates. I just got a very bad batch and it’s making me worried to order from them again. To be fair, this is one bag out of the many I’ve purchased from them, but still. It’s not like we can return them, so I need to hunt down a new vendor to make sure I’m not wasting another $12.

So this isn't against the brand or the taste because both are great. But this stuff left two black stains on my teeth and I have to get them professionally removed by the dentist and it's going to come out to be $320 if my insurance doesn't cover it. So I wouldn't recommend these candies if you're going to chew them. I've chewed other hard candies and soft candies as well and have never had stains but these things just did the trick, didn't they?

They taste and smell like they should. They are not melted or damaged. They are still in date, but the expiration date is June 2022. Honestly that is just a suggested sell by date because I know they will be good well after that date. Shipping was fast and they were affordable. I would buy them again and I am sure I will be ordering more. I haven't eaten these since I was a kid, but they taste just like I remember. These are watermelon suckers covered in a chili coating for those who have never ordered them before. It is an acquired taste for sure. I didnt like them at first but they grew on me.

These are by far the worst Lollipops I've had, I'm talking about the lollipops themselves I've had this brand and this flavor before but these are terrible idk if it's where they're stored but they are literally coated with salt, take a spoonful of salt and it'll fast exactly like this you can even once you take them out if the package they are bad they are this whiteish color

These weren’t what I thought they were at all. I thought these were the original watermelon suckers & when I opened it and saw the stuff all over it I was shocked. I actually thought they sent me old candy. If this is what you’re into then yeah you’ll like it but if you’re looking for the regular sweet candy this isn’t the right one so read carefully.
