Inside the box each item was wrapped in white tissue paper when normally these gift sets come with a plastic insert inside the box and the items are placed in their place inside the plastic insert so I'm not sure if this had been purchased previously and returned and resold to me but the items were in good condition and did not seem used.

The bottle for the perfume is gorgeous! It's very pale purple. I get strong notes of apricot/guava and vanilla the most (every nose is different). I find this to be a wonderful soft scent, it's not overpowering at all. A spray on each wrist and one on neck, I find it lasts an average of 6 hrs. It's beautiful up close yet subtle so you're not walking around being intrusive in other's spaces with the scent, which to me is perfect. The body spray is in a plastic bottle and i was not as impressed with this. It's got a more pungent smell, not bad per se but not as soft and sweet as the perfume. Stronger woodsy smell, maybe the chocolate notes. It lasts on average about 4 hours for me. I greatly prefer the perfume. This would also make a nice gift set just make sure to remove the price sticker that may or may not be on there (mine had one in red). I would recommend this and at the list price at time of review think it's a great value.

This is a very nice and reasonably priced gift set featuring a body spray and eau de toilette. The 2 products smell different but do complement each other well enough. I like the body spray for a quick casual daytime refresher and the eau du toilette for evenings or going out. The scent is rather floral with some vanilla notes. It's bright, feminine, and appropriate for a range of ages. The youthful pink, heart, and crown shaped packaging definitely lends itself to being a great gift for teens, but I (definitely no longer a teen) also enjoy it. Curiously, the body spray does indicate that is is "not to be applied under arms." I wasn't planning on it anyway but now I'm curious why. It does say "hair and body mist" and I think it could be nice in the hair to combat that unfortunate heat-styled smell curling irons can leave behind. My only grip about using this as a gift is that the price is printed on the box. Tacky!

I was very pleased with the Vera Wang Princess women's perfume. A small bit on the woodsy side with a hint of sweetness to balance it out. For me, this would be a good "summer perfume". I tend to wear the lighter ones in the summer and heavier perfumes in the winter. My daughter has already tried to steal this from me. This is the second perfume in the Vera Wang collection that I have purchased, and I have been pleased both times. I feel that it is priced well for the amount of perfume that you get. For me, this perfume lasts about 1-2 hours.

This would make a nice gift. The bottle is really nice. The smell is floral, vanilla, and a slightly musky wood scent. It's not overpowering. This would be good for any age.
