Another feature is that this backpack is washable, though we suggest you put the backpack inside a large mesh laundry bag before putting it in the washer. Amazon will also put certain patterns and colors on sale, so keep checking back from time to time. This size of backpack has a back zippered pocket that fits a laptop perfectly. The middle section has smaller pockets for smaller items and can hold books or whatever. The smaller front pockets are great for pencils, pens or your house keys or car keys. Makeup compacts fit as well. The very front zippered pocket is for small items or even items you need immediately like coins and cash. Orange is my favorite color. I got this on sale for half off about 6 months ago. Since then I’ve gone on two or three major trips and I’ve fit more than I thought I would be able to, initially. It’s held up well, and the zippers are the same as when I got them—just what I’d expect from Vera Bradley. My black purse I’ve had for a couple of years, and the zippers on that one are the same as when I got that, too. I can fit so much that I often used it to fit a lot of my cycling gear, my purse, snacks, portable chargers, first aid kit, and a myriad of other things. What I needed most was a bag with a dedicated laptop compartment, and this has that, one huge pocket, one pocket about a third of that size (I use this for my allen wrench set, wrench, and screwdriver), two side pockets (when walking or traveling I use one for my phone and another for my 1L sunset orange water bottle), an organizational small-ish pocket (where I keep all of the chargers and a spare pen), and a small pocket (that’s roomy enough for a spare pair of glasses, some glasses cleaner, and a microfiber cloth or two).
