Over the past 12-15 years, perhaps longer, I've owned MANY Vera Bradley items, all types and descriptions, including handbags, totes, an ID holder, and a wallet I loved because it was cloth, roomy, and washable. The fabrics were always a bit brighter than I preferred so I bleached them to my idea of beauty time and time again. All of this to say that the "sling backpack" is my favorite of all. It has four distinct zipper places so you can decide where to carry specific items and easily find them when needed. There is a smallish zipper on the back where I keep my wallet. A small pouch on the front where I kept my phone until the day it slipped out in my daughter's car and I relocated it to the larger 2-sided pocket immediately behind. My cash envelope is now in the front pocket. The largest compartment, basically the entire inside of the bag is where everything else goes--tissues, inhaler, an extra mask just in case, a book to read while waiting, though I haven't done so yet. I've had this bag a couple of months. Washed it last week tied inside a pillowcase with a regular load of clothes then air dried. I really want another so I'll have two, but am trying not to spend on things I don't really need right now. BTW, I'm 78. Not that it has anything to do with Vera or her bags. The only drawback for me is the strapping/belt system. I'm not going to ever use it across my body as designed. I can use it over my shoulder like an AmeriBag spine-saver, but don't often think to, so it's usually dangling from my left arm, all zippers down, which probably looks weird. And, of course, upside down you do need to be viligant about zipping. I'd like to remove the strap extender, but am not sure I can and maintain a closed carrying loop. If your needs and my comments coincide, you'll probably be happy with the sling backpack. There are many fabrics to chose from. AND you can always bleach if you wish. LOL You can't say that about many handbags!

I love this bag more than most I have ever owned. It's SO convenient to be able to just slid it to the front, and then slide it back without ever having to actually take it off or set it down to get into it. It's become an essential for going out and about with my little one. His toddler stuff fits and so does mine! pockets are in the perfect place and in the perfect size, with Zippers instead of open flaps or velcroe. Better than a back pack in every way! Durable material, and washable. This will def be my go to for day to day!

I love Vera Bradly and have multiple items such as laptop bags, back pack purse, and wristlets. But this shoulder bag just didnt work for me. I like to carry stuff on my right shoulder so it felt awkward to me.

This was a Christmas present and I'm so glad I put it on my Christmas list. I have finally found bag/purse heaven. There are zipped pockets of various sizes The main pocket is the largest and can hold any number of shapes and sizes, there is a pocket on the front of the bag that holds your phone or wallet plus has pen holders and is large enough for your keys, etc. All but one of the pockets (a thin one on the back) are protected by where they are placed. Best of all the bag stays on my shoulder and I'm not constantly fiddling with to keep in place. The colors are wonderful and the bag goes with everything. This bag saved me from having to buy a backpack that has too much space and is bulky.

Very nice. I am a big person and have trouble finding bags with long enough straps. This one works fine. Just the right size for what I call my fast bag. Smaller then my usual big bag. A backpack. I carry a lot of stuff. Don't get me wrong this bag is not tiny. I could carry my large 10 inch tablet if I wanted to plus a little more space. Most people would call it a medium bag. Love the d-ring for keys or hand sanitizer and the zip pocket on the back. Great place for a wallet. Feels more secure with it next to your body.

Great one shoulder backpack: is hands-free and more convenient than regular shoulder purses. The strap is easily adjustable and comfortable to wear all day (I did a full day wear test with it while traveling and walking around all day). All the pockets zip on the same side so it’s easy to pull the bag around and access all the pockets without having to take the backpack off. I love having the rear zipper pocket for holding my wallet while traveling-keeps it against my back and very secure. The medium sized pocket on the front has pen pockets and a smaller pocket inside to keep everything organized. The large pocket is very roomy.
