The wine color is very rich and pretty. Wonderfully light-weight. Was afraid I would not be pleased with the knobby soles; but for a casual shoe, I don't dislike them at all. I normally wear a 9.5W shoe, but I have to be careful due to a high arch. I squeaked through with this shoe mainly because the leather is so soft. Having said that, I do expect them to stretch some as well. The length and width are spot-on. I totally understand why some are concerned about the slipping off the heel and the possibility of stretching too much. The leather is very soft and thin. With the price so low, and their being so comfortable and attractive, I will take a chance on them. Perhaps I will be pleasantly surprised. Purchased 3 colors and hoped I wouldn’t have to do a return. I love these shoes. I would order every color but that is overkill for sure. True to size for me. Wear 8.5, ordered 8.5! Perfect fit!

    • My favorite shoes!
I love these shoes! I purchased the green pair with the cutouts on them. I normally wear a size 9.5, but can get away with a size 9 in some styles. I ordered this pair in 9.5 and they felt too loose; however, once I got used to the “looseness” (and nubby soles), they’ve felt fantastic! It feels like I’m wearing moccasins. The only drawback is that the lining on the inner soles have become unglued, despite my feet not being particularly sweaty (I don’t wear socks with them), so they get bunched up once I slide them off. I’ll just glue them back down, I guess, or buy insoles. I work at an elementary school and the older kids make fun of my “granny shoes”, while the younger kids have asked why I’m only wearing socks. I don’t even care. It’s easier to take the abuse in stride while wearing such comfortable shoes. ... show more

The color of the beige shoes I received are very different than the photo. Mine are definitely cream with a yellow tint. In the photo above, they are a pale tan or taupe on my phone.
